Dear God,
Please end the 80’s/skinny jeans trend. Now. I’m not bitter. I KNOW I can’t pull it off (and I don’t try to convince myself otherwise). But, lots of size 14s insist on squeezing themselves into said skinny jeans. It’s not pretty. It’s not flattering. It’s almost on par with the low, low rise plumber’s crack thing.
While you’re at it, please end the whole “echoes of the 80’s” trend. On the one hand, it’s fugly. On the other hand, it makes me feel old. I was born in 1980, and it scares the hell out of me to see 15 year-old brats (born in the 90’s!!!!) wear stuff that reminds me of those most unflattering childhood years. Leggings? Over-sized shirts? Jellies? WTF?! Who did this?! Who did this?!!!
Jesus, now I know how my parents feel when I go on about music from the 60’s and 70’s. Rolling Stones tickets, yeah!
I miss the 90’s. ‘Cause, you know, “it’s the end of the world as we know it.”
