Very late, I know. Blame Singapore TV.

I think it was a couple of months ago that the Supernatural episode Hammer of the Gods aired in America and pissed off a lot of people. I read people's comments and it didn't sound too good; Singapore airs everything way later, so I hadn't seen it yet.

THE GODS WERE EATING PEOPLE. Literally eating them. And they were squabbling like little kids. And when Lucifer eventually shows up, he makes mincemeat of the gods who are older than him with a flick of his finger.

That's... really bizarre. Why'd they do that? I mean, they must've known people be angry... and they have a right to be.

Exactly! Ugh. I think they wanted it to be like Neil Gaiman's American Gods, but he certainly treats the gods with more respect than they did! I was swearing at the screen. >

Hopefully the writer won't get another shot!

It sounds really disrespectful, which is pretty bad, because, um, they are people's gods.

But what makes me really sad is that I saw SPN for the first time ever yesterday, and I really enjoyed it! So they shouldn't screw up like that. :D

Awww! *hug* Generally I consider SPN the epitome of awesomeness, but that episode was made of fail and suck. I hope you enjoy the series overall anyway, and welcome to the fandom!

*hugs back* From what I've seen, it's really really cool! Sam and Dean are ADORABLE! xD I'm going to avoid "Hammer of the Gods" like the plague, and just pretend it is not real, which seems to be what most of the fandom is doing, ha ha!

Yes, they are, but the whole demon blood thing made me so sad. :( Though the parts about the SPN fandom and their fangirls made me giggle so much. Those things made me think the scriptwriters were smart.

And then came Hammer of the Gods. >< You should watch it just for Gabriel's awesomeness.
