SPN - Hammer of the Gods

Very late, I know. Blame Singapore TV.

I think it was a couple of months ago that the Supernatural episode Hammer of the Gods aired in America and pissed off a lot of people. I read people's comments and it didn't sound too good; Singapore airs everything way later, so I hadn't seen it yet.

It just aired here last night.

I'd forgotten the number of ( Read more... )

I like to content myself with the knowledge that the writer of that episode has never written for any previous episode... and probably won't get to do another after the uproar. However, what the producers were thinking, I really don't know. :( It was a bad move, and one I sincerely hope they can rectify.

Meanwhile, I'll pretend it didn't happen and that Gabriel is still alive (c'mon he's too damned clever even for Lucifer). And I'm willing to accept this fanfic as an alternate response. I'm pretty picky when it comes to mythology/religion, and this story is not bad at all.

\o/ I hope he doesn't do another! It was a horrible move.

I hope Gabriel is still alive too, I have a huge soft spot for him. Thank you so much for the link!

I should also have added that I don't believe the other gods were truly killed either. I think they all decided "play dead til Luci leaves" then went out and found little subtle ways to help stop that stupid apocalypse (which I'm trying to figure out, because it might be worth writing). And then next season, if the producers are smart, they'll find a way to write it in that those gods are still alive and planning their own eventual apocalypse... thousands of years in the future, maybe. They definitely need to revisit Kali, seriously.

The story actually covers a lot of that, which is why I like it (plus all the hot Gabriel/Kali action). XD

(this is sirius_luva being too lazy to log out of her roleplay account)

That is an awesome idea. :D And hopefully they'll have grown up a little too. I'd like it if a couple had a proper fight, but childish squabbling? ><

:D

Some of the gods were guilty of being childish even in their heyday (I'm thinking Greek esp.) but generally, yeah. They ought to have been pissy at Lucifer, not each other, as they all had just as much to lose.

I'm definitely feeling plot bunny feet scratching at my ankles now...

They were, but I agree - with so much at stake, you'd think they would know when to put those aside.

:D *feeds the bunny*
