I turn 17 today! :D And I am treating everyone to a story.

Well, today, I come of age in the wizarding world. ;) In the world of Harry Potter, I'd be an adult. In real life, I'm stuck somewhere in between. Ah, the joys of turning seventeen.

And so I have a birthday treat - a story for everyone!

Warning: dark subject matter - religious, and possibly could be construed as violence. Pain is certainly involved.

Happy birthday!

I am amused. To metaphor (if I can use that as a verb), it's like Crowley is waving off a lifetime supply of potato chips and other empty calories and waiting for a proper meal to come along. Not because he knows that dinner will be along eventually, but because he just doesn't want to bother with the chips getting his fingers all greasy.

Your story was much more eloquent and meaningful-sounding than my metaphor (which hopefully makes some sense). XD

I don't think it's a verb but it fits anyway! ;) Hmm. I don't see it like that, but interesting analogy.

To me, Gadre'el Crawly didn't bother with the violence and torture because he's simply not that sort of person. He's not evil in GO and I don't think he ever was.

And aww. Thank you! <3

Well, yeah, he doesn't go in for that sort of thing. Is what I meant. In regards to evil. Although... I feel like if he felt he could get anything at all worthwhile out of it he would give it a try, but since he can see from the examples of the demons around him that he obviously wouldn't, he doesn't. At the same time, he knows from personal experience that trying to be good didn't leave him any better off, so he hangs out in the middle on purpose. In a "Yes I'm on a side, but please don't waste my time with super-earthly politics" sort of way, because, yeah, that's the sort of person he is. [/opinion]

(I don't know if super-earthly is actually a valid term. I'm just making things up tonight. This morning. Whatever. XP)

You are quit welcome. :)

Lovely way of putting it. <3 He's not evil, to me, but he's not exactly kitten-saving material either. Actually, I think he might save kittens, but not old ladies. ;P Love your views on the whole 'sides' thing.

I figured. ;)
