Otakon, Harry Potter and Peaches

Jul 16, 2007 17:05

Okay, I only mention peaches because I feel they should be made illegal.  NOTHING on this planet should taste THAT AMAZING and not be lawfully banned.  It's a crime I tell you!!  A crime!
*mindlessly hums* "Millions of peaches, paeches for me/ Millions of peaches, peaches for free..."

But
HARRY POTTER!!!  WAUGH! XD

Oh my gawds, I think I'm gunna just fall over and die from excitement.  4 MORE DAYS!!  4!!!  That, my friends, is INSANE.  And the great thing is, that day is the day I'm cosplaying for Otakon (I'm going to Otakon, did I tell you?!) and my character is not exactly fully clothed.  *smiles*  So I get to stand in line with all these Harry Freaks and I know for damn sure that I am going to get a few "WTF is she doing here?  And why is she dressed like that?" looks from others. ^_^  I am going to laugh and it's going to be great.  But I am bringing my Gryffindor scarf so that at least everyone will see that and understand partially why I am there.  But, duuuuuuuudes!!!!  Harry Potter! *squee! and flails* XD

Speaking of Harry, yeah, definitly saw the midnight showing of 'Order of the Pheonix'.  Dudes, would not miss that for the world.  And actually, I was pretty taken aback by this one as well.  And when I say "as well" I am refering to how surprised I was by the 4th one.  I was really surprised by how well this one turned out as well.  I guess as they get older and they have more experience outside of Harry, the kids' acting skills get better because that's really the only thing I had to seriously complain about in movies 1-3.  Of course there were scenes that weren't exactly perfect and there was a lot of missing bits but you expect that once you've experienced it 4 times before.  So, overall, I'd say it was good and I really enjoyed it.  I just didn't like the scene where Sirius dies.  Honestly, if you had never read the book or been told by someone else, you'd have never known that Sirius dies.  He just falls through this curtain (which wasn't really a curtain, another thing I have to complain about) thing and, while laughing, disappears.  I mean, there's a scene after it that feels like it's only 5 seconds where Harry is being held back by Lupin in an obviously upset state and they cut all noise, but is that really enough to get the picture?  I didn't think so.

Okay, well, now back to your regularly scheduled questioning of when I am going to update again.  Probably after I read the book, if I can.  And I if I do, I am NOT going to LJ cut.  Screw you all, I can not contain such love in to a cut.  That's just cruelty.  So I am sorry and apologize ahead of time for anyone who might read it and cry because I ruined the book for them because they had yet to finish (or some situation equal to that).  But seriously, if you haven't finished the book yet, what are you doing wasting your time on the interent for?  GO READ THE DAMN BOOK YOU TARD.  Derrrr.
