Head-Canon Discussion: Sirius & Remus
Each week we will feature a discussion of the different facets of Sirius Black's character, his relationships, and other aspects of his life and ask everyone to share their own personal head-canon interpretations of things. This week's discussion:
Sirius & Remus
1. Sirius/Remus is a fairly popular ship in Harry Potter fandom. Does your head canon include a romantic relationship for these two? Maybe a "bromance"? Or just everyday friendship? Whatever their relationship, how do you personally imagine it began? Was Sirius closer to Remus, or to James (or perhaps both equally)?
2. When Remus found out that Sirius had tricked Severus into going to the Shrieking Shack, what do you think he thought of Sirius at that moment? It probably put a strain on their relationship, but for how long -- weeks? months? maybe permanently? Did Sirius ever really realize, then or later, the danger he was putting Remus in by potentially exposing his secret? In PoA he scorns the more immediate, deadly danger to Severus as "it served him right"; is it possible he still holds a similarly flip attitude about the effect of the incident on Remus? Or maybe you think they hashed this out somewhere offscreen, whether while still at school, sometime during the first war, or after meeting again in PoA... tell us about it.
3. We find at the end of PoA that the reason Sirius did not originally discuss the change of Secret-Keepers with Remus is because he suspected Remus might be a spy. What do you think might have led him to the conclusion that his friend could be a spy for Voldemort?
