I just realized that the jesus-focused religions have their week of passion celebrations and it struck me that this schiavo episode, politicized drama about the power over life and death, has likely been scripted so that the major developments (congress passing bills, today "holy thursday" the supreme court denying them) are meant to happen this week ending with easter.
The con-fusion of the media parade around this case with the emotionally powerful drama of jesus' passion seems deliberately calculated to provoke a set of emotions and thought patterns in the True Believers. Keep the faithful agitated and they'll go along with anything else you do, I guess?
