When Sirius Black was six-years-old and was asked why he was forbidden to see his cousin Andromeda, he was told she had acted against someone of her blood standing. Sirius hadn’t known what that meant.
When Sirius Black was eleven-years-old he learned blood just that - blood. It spewed red from wounds earned in fights with Snape, and it sang when a pretty girl walked by.
Blood, in whatever permutation, was the same.
