I'm leaving tomorrow, at the wee hours of the morning, for my hopefully great weekend in Rome. I'm almost ready and quite eager to leave now, although I'm very tired and I know I won't sleep enough tonight ;)
Some of you asked for a postcard from Rome. I only remember for sure Alex and tiny, and I think Patty, so please if you want one, just say so (again) here and now, and send me your addy at my email address (particularly the two persons who didn't get the promised card before, you know who you are, sorry ;) *hides in shame*). I'll check my mail before I leave for the airport.
I can't believe I'm finally in vacation for a little more than a week ! I was beginning to get tired but we have so many projects this year (we're celebrating the 30th anniversary of the service), work never really stops !
Some of you may remember one of the people I work with, that I chose to call Henri on LJ, who had decided to meet with his family again after many years apart. When I told you about him, I thought he was going to see his sister right away, but whether I had misunderstood or he was so eager he had mistaken the date, he finally met her and his niece last week. He's also going to see his brother soon. The meeting was as great and emotional as we thought and right now, it's once again a joy to see him so happy ! There are some days, when I almost believe in fairy tales... :D
I've complained in front of many people about this strange pain in my right shoulder which came from nowhere. I feel a bit better each day, as long as I don't move too much and too fast, like this evening to prepare for the weekend, and driving can still be painful, but it's really better.
As for the fannish stuff, I'm still heavily in love these days with Lincoln and The Island. Expect a wallpaper sooner or later ! at least if I can do something that I'm willing to show ;) I'm so sad that this season of Stargate has already ended, I was really enjoying this year. Daniel was not only used as a soldier, the stories were interesting and I even came to like Sam again !! Now that Jack has left and that she can be a scientist and soldier once more, and not some stupid teenager with a crush, I find she's interesting and likable.
I also saw yesterday the very last ep of Star Trek Enterprise, and thought they did a not very good job. No spoiler, I'll just say that I don't like at all what they did with my favourite character, Trip (and what with the hysterics ?? It's so not him to act like this !) Also, why the complete change in the shippy relationship they'd created for a while, just for the last episode ?... I had enjoyed much of the season but this last ep felt rushed and although I liked seeing Riker and... (I can't remember the woman's name in ST TNG, only that she was called Svetlana Markov I think in Stargate ;)) again, I'm not sure I would have liked to see someone from another series conclude my own series if I were an actor. Now tell me someone has seen this and understands what I'm talking about ;D
Ok, time to end. I have a few things left to do and then off to bed ! Play nice during the weekend, and I'm looking forward to talk to you all soon. I leave you with a gorgeous guy - hopefully I'll meet one like that where I go... *smooches*
