I didn't watch the whole site but the Redon's exhibit seems very interesting too ! I've always had a predilection for that kind of artists with feverish imagination, my favourite being Bosch (I have a poster of the Jardin des Délices in my bedroom).
Thanks for correcting the translation ;) I stuck to literal because I didn't know better it was late and I was tired her sentences are full of innuendo (innuendos ?), particularly in the "directed, manipulated" bit, there's a lot more to it than acting. Choisir son camp also implies the notion of being ready to fight for your choice, which is why I didn't use place finally, as I did at first. And littérature here is definitely referring to books (I think of 19th century novels' heroines). I'm so glad I didn't went on with my translation studies !! It's an impossible task ! ;)
Beside the translation problem, and because that's the only thing I know about her personally, I tend to see in "perdu l'amour" a reference to Fanny Ardant's own sentimental life, as she was, to my knowledge, François Truffaut's last "compagne" (I don't know if you have a direct translation for that word, the closer I can think of is lover but there's more to it). I think they had a child together, maybe more. As far as I know, he died while they were together.
I remember two films they made together : La femme d'à côté (one of the very few films where I like Gérard Depardieu) and Vivement dimanche ! (with the great Jean-Louis Trintignant). I saw la femme d'à côté when I was a teenager and it made quite an impression. Do you know one or both of them ?
