Codified

In regards to my own faith, I shall now transcribe what exactly I believe in regards to spirituality and the almighty.

I believe I would consider my faith to be closest a cross between Christian, Jewish and Buddhist.

First let me define what I think God is:
To me, god is the earth, the stars, the moon, and all the stuff in and around them, including you and I. He is the omnipotent, neutrality for which the universe is founded upon. He is balance. He is creation. He is destruction. He is physics. He is everything that is in existence.

He is also defined as Morality incarnate, with two aspects of it. In one aspect, god defines how to live in an ordered, functional society. Do not lie. Do not steal. Do not kill. Most organized religions worth mentioning at least believe in those three precepts. These three precepts are so communicated to us by our conscience. Deep down, each human being on the planet understood at one point in their lives that these are wrong. We have the ability and choice, however, to will our conscience quiet. Now, why are these wrong? Killing, stealing, and lying. They are the three things that can cause a functional society to tumble into Anarchy. Every great empire on the planet has so far fallen due to one of these practices, I’m sure it shall continue in present and future organizations.

The other aspect, god is also constantly testing us, prodding our conscience with ideas and schemes what might thought to be the Adversary or Satan. These can be seen, however, as tests to make sure we are able to cope with joining the greater whole.

To put it into simple layman’s terms: I believe god to be one large creature who has a lot of little symbiotic creatures(us) existing within. God is constantly prodding and testing the symbiotic creatures to make sure that they will absorb properly into the system when they pass on. The ones that are do not, are eventually flushed from the system.

There is true evil out there, such that would have us fail those tests and fall to its corruption. True evil is the void, that which is antimatter, the nightmarish existance of non-existance. The void is a force all unto itself, where whispers of its influence tug at our essences and attempt to make way for its ultimate ascension. There is creation, there is destruction, and then there is the void.

I believe that when we die, our “soul” is judged on our actions while alive, and depending on those, we are either absorbed into the whole as a useful part and become one with everything or erased all together.

Where does Jesus; Gautama Buddha; Mohammed, Moses and other holy men who have reached some form of enlightenment fit into my theory/belief system? Perhaps they are those who have come to a realization of gods true nature and the need for structured socitey that works for the benefit of mankind as a whole rather than the individual. I believe in the ten commandments communicated by moses as they are a tenement to the morality I uphold, and are a good base to hold civilization upon.

So you ask, “why then do you have a cross in your profile.” The answer, because I like the symbol, and it is a representation of faith.

Faith to me... ...faith to me is the unbounding confidence one places in the balance of the world. The knowledge that everything has its place, and everything will eventually come full circle and have balance; one way or the other. It is the belief that what you do in this world now reflects on etertnity and that you can be certain that those actions will always have reactions. To love of god is to love the world, and to love the world one must have faith.
