How many of you have a friend or friends who are homosexual or bisexual? Well I know I do and they are just like everyone else.
Homosexuality, whether it be that person's choice, or just they're calling, is not a bad thing.
So many people devote their lives to stopping this so called "problem" when they should really be focusing on their own issues in their own life.
Anyway, we live in America and everyone has their right to say what they want and do what they want, so these people who are protesting against gays will never put even a slight stop to what they think is wrong because they live in a free country. We can do what we want.
There are many people who believe that homosexuality is wrong because that is what their faith tells them, but doesn't their faith also say not to judge or put anyone down? Yes we understand that you might be trying to "bring them into the light" but what is "the light"? Your god? Your values? Leave them at home. Dont use your god as an excuse for your vulnerabilities.
Leave these people alone! Do they have annual walks or riots against all heterosexuals? No, they dont. I have never heard of anyone anywhere getting violent or angry at a person because they are "straight". These are all decisions that we have to make. Stop denying the right for gays to marry, stay out of their business. They stay out of yours.
One value that is important to me is security. If you are seriously together with someone and you decide that you want to spend the rest of your life with that person, dont you want to know that if something happens to one of you down the road, that your spouse wont be left with nothing? Well this is what you are denying gays. The right to live as a person. Again, dont bring your god into this. I believe you dont have a say in that. You are making these people's lives worse than they should be, and doesnt that go against your values as a follower of your god?
So in conclusion, Homosexuality is apart of who we are, all of us. It is never going away, it has been around forever. And to those who appose it still, stay in your own life, your own business, and dont judge those who wouldnt judge you. DONT JUDGE ANYONE AT ALL if your god says not to. ALL OF THIS IS WHAT I BELIEVE.
