white collar reaction, season 3 beginning
GUYS THIS EPISODE NEAL WAS ALL LIKE "I'm leaving!" and Jones was like "No wait I'M HERE" and that guy was like "No man YOU'RE A FED I'M GONNA KILL YOU" and Neal was like "AUGH I CAN'T LET JONES DIE OR SOMETHING" and also "I CANNOT LET ANYTHING SHOW ON MY FACE BECAUSE THIS IS A CON" and I was all like "Man, I don't think you understand, I want more planning on the WE ARE LEAVING NOW part". Despite the fact that Neal now HAS NO REASON to stay except, you know, TRUST AND STUFF AND ALSO PETER. And also El. And also, you know, New York.
Good moments:
--FENCING THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE OF THAT AND MAYBE MORE EXPLANATION. Neal also tried to do with fencing what most shows try to do with chess ("GUYS THIS TOTALLY APPLIES TO THE PLOT I AM ALL LIKE MOVING MY QUEEN AND STUFF" except Neal is like "ONE POINT IN THIRD" and if you have never read about fencing or done fencing (maybe I guess) you are all like WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT NEAL)
--The moments where Neal was all like in the basement of the lab art gallery thing and he was like YEAH I AM PAINTING A PICTURE and the shots were all like "we are really enjoying filming this thing guys"
-- ALL OF THE FOCUS ON THE PAINTINGS
--Also, all of Mozzie.
--And El.
Bad moments:
Guys, is it just me, or is it... missing something? Peter is all like I DON'T TRUST NEAL BUT I HAVE TO PROTECT HIM and Neal is like LEAVING NOW, NO EXPLANATION, and that just seems... out of character. I mean, I really enjoy the whole Peter-totally-doesn't-trust-Neal deal, but it was like... better... when he was being all weird about the music box. He was more secretive about it. This episode felt really rushed and and THERE WAS NO BANTER and I was like WHAT I MISS BANTER I WANT IT BACK ALL OF IT
Also, there was this purple scarf deal in the show and Neal looked stupid in it.
Lastly, I feel like Mozzie should be the one telling Neal to do the Right Thing, and now he's just like YEAH THIS LEAVING THING SOUNDS GOOD I'VE ALWAYS LIKED PARIS. And. That feels weird.
ALSO when Neal calls him when Jones is being all like "captured and maybe going to be shot!" he's like WHAT IS GOING ON and Neal is like SECRET CODE PHRASE and Mozzie's like I DON'T UNDERSTAND SECRET CODE PHRASES!!!! Whereas in, like, every other before episode he's like SECRET CODE PHRASE and Neal is like COME ON MOZZIE I NEED TO TAKE A SHOWER and Mozzie is like SECRET CODE PHRASE!!! This really irked me. It's like, GOD MOZZIE NEAL IS AT RISK OF LOSING HIS CON HERE WHY ARE YOU BEING STUPID INTO THE PHONE
Predictions: The whole 'twist' of this season (Season 1, Kate, Season 2, Kate is dead) is going to be something like Mozzie vs. Neal. Also while I would like to see Peter/Neal trust issues happen, I would also like legit mysteries and solving crimes in unconventional ways. In the end, Neal and Peter are the characters that drive the plot and I REALLY LIKE THE PLOT although the characters are good too. I got drawn in because of the plot but there are good characters as well

Also I really liked THE COMPLETE LACK OF ALEX OR WHOEVER NEAL IS SNOGGING NOW. There are two chicks, and I do not remember their names at all, except that I dislike them both because they don't feel like Strong Female Characters in the slightest. And it's not my usual 'I-really-do-not-like-female-characters' thing, because I like all of the other females on the show, it's just that. I don't know. MAYBE THEY ARE NOT ATTRACTIVE ENOUGH. Actually, I like how June's granddaughter shows up. I think she should be recurring. (And is it just me, or is it a different actress than who played her in the first season?)
