I'd really like for the TARDIS to get into some mischief at SERO, I'm just not sure what/if anything would be allowed. Could she fry a circuit breaker trying to examine one, stumble onto a lab, etc? I'm just not sure what would be okay and what should remain off limits for plot/world-building purposes, and that includes her doing anything at SERO.

How does accidentally frying the central control panel for their new teleportation pad system sound?

To cut down on inter-departmental commute time, and to allow for easier access between laboratory buildings during the darkness hours, SERO's technicans have developed a teleportation device (which is in an enclosed booth, so might remind TARDIS of her usual shape!). After it's debut last month, the system has been slowly installed in many Sector 2 buildings.

....So I'm thinking she could mess it up so it starts accidentally transporting people to random locations throughout the city, instead of the corresponding 'target' pad? Scientists on their way to the Mecha lab suddenly finding themselves in the middle of a Sector 7 field? Strange reports ensue? Does that sound doable?

osudbgousg ohmygosh I love this. She'd def be interested in it for shape alone and would want to study it closely. I am all for this \o/

OK, Wheneverabouts you'd like for this to happen, just be sure to zip us a PM so we can write about the strangeness in the news, and SERO's embarrassing cover story for the mishap.

You might also want to plot this OOCly on the SERO community (if you've been added?) so that affiliates can opt in to randomly be transported to weird locations?

I'm good for this happening anytime, honestly. Do you want me to do a writeup or would you guys handle it?

Actually, I haven't joined the SERO comm. I'll go do that now and post to it for others to see~

I'd love for Washu to start working on some tech that mimics Void/Null powers to be, in theory, used to help people who have powers they can't control- it would basically be like an amulet that nullifies powers when worn, but stops working when removed.

However, while this is all well and good for NPC's and people who don't want to deal with their powers, it still has the potential to be hard to deal with, so if, at all possible, I figure in the beta-testing phase, SERO or someone could get a hold of the tech and begin using it for nefarious purposes, thereby putting the kibosh on it being used on the street and giving the companies a terrifying new weapon that's more reliable than having a Void or a Null standing guard- imagine being able to neutralize a powerful subject just by clapping a collar or manacles on them.

...I have no idea if such a thing EXISTS in the world with SERO and AGI, buuuuut.

It already does, actually. Batman made a collar that completely blocks Sylar's powers, and is openable only with a card with his DNA. It's the only reason why that guy can live in jail. It's not a generic Voiding collar - it's a Sylar-Voiding collar. Plus said collar cannot be removed from Sylar, and Sylar's in jail, so I think there's still a lot of room to move regarding this tech for your plot \o\

I don't think I am grammaring very well.

Ff. I figured someone would have thought of that, but given Washu's got her ears on everything in the science community, she'd probably have heard of that and it could give her an idea to run with- if the plot gets approved, she might try to pick Batman's brain a bit about it.

Yesh. But see, the problem is that no one knows for sure who put the collar on Sylar. Re-l is the one who actually took him in (well, she called the team anyway), and there are rumours and it's reported on the newsfeed that it was Batman who might have, but it's nothing for certain, and he's not going to admit to it. If he does, it'll set SERO on his head. So if she wants to pick his brains, she will have to- uh. Try. To say the least.

But she can totally visit Sylar to try to pick at the collar itself, if you like?

That works! I kinda figured Batman would be all ~secrety~ She'll just have to investigate a little, which is all the more fun.

Mags has copies of all the Void tech used in Marvel (ranging from collars to his own machines to nanotech) and has for months as well as power dampers. He just doesn't tell this to people because of SERO and his void tech is also different from SEROs Voids. I'm phone tagging now but I can explain in detail whe I get off work?

OK! Mags has two categories of tech.

One is similar to the Null powers - in that the powers are there you just can't use them. He rolls this tech into the power dampening tech. This is available in wrist cuff (think thick jewelry bangles), upper arm cuff (new!), collar style necklace (like a choker), a belt (similar to necklaces, but not as heavy looking), or ankle cuffs (like the wrist cuffs). At their most simple they are rings of metal with closure similar to a locking carabiner, with three points of embellishment (pattern on the metal or a jewel) equal distant from the lock and each other. Lock, opposite on/off button, up and down opposite each other, perpendicular to the others. He calls these dampers. They can be used to block powers but they are meant as a teaching aid, to teach use and control or to provide a break while learning. The belts, bicep cuffs, and ankle cuffs can be worn in such a way that they don't show under clothing, the wrist cuffs and collars cannot. It will take quite a lot for him to loan that ( ... )

SERO has tech that works in that fashion to some limited extent and mostly on abiliies which physically manifest. AGI also, but both are always looking for new means of control.

So yes, if you'd like either company to get their paws on them, let us know when?

I'm not sure whether I need to run this by mods but better safe than sorry. I'd like for Riddick to attempt to leave the Port and get himself killed by the Pull soonish. I'm planning for him to steal a boat to do this - which is the part I feel I need approval for, and I'm sort of hoping it would finally draw attention from the authorities regarding his behaviour - at least to have him noted somewhere as potential trouble, anyway.
