Friday night on their alliance and on Nagi's relationship to Ken.

Normally, Mamoru did not act as an aide to anyone. Far more typically, he stood on the receiving end of service positions. These were special circumstances, however. Tot's death threw the entire relationship into question. The agreement from home was simple: Nagi worked for him in exchange for the resources to keep her safe. That those resources were no longer available had left Mamoru uncertain of their standing even before it had proven fatal. Now Mamoru couldn't say he would blame Nagi if he were angry at him for failing to meet his end of the bargain. That he no longer had access to his means of doing so was irrelevant, an excuse at best. With luck, they would find Tot resurrected in the near future, as they had Ken, but Mamoru was not banking on luck or logic. Not on this island.
First and foremost, then, he had to reaffirm his alliance with Nagi. Any tensions between them had to be resolved, and any alternative bridges that would allow them to continue working together he had to pursue. For the sake of earning points-- and of reassuring Nagi they were still on the same side-- Mamoru wanted to help in the aftermath of the deadly fight. Even if it meant becoming an errand boy for a few days.
Besides, it was the absolute least he could do in exchange for all the assistance Nagi had provided him since his arrival.
The secondary goal was to turn this misunderstanding into an opportunity. Though he had yet to hear Nagi's version of events, he had no doubt that Ken was sincere about having fought to protect Tot. Bringing Ken into a collective alliance with them, while ultimately more beneficial, was unwanted in his heart. (Far preferable to keep his real friends a safe distance from active contact with him, where he might one day be forced to betray them.) It was perhaps even overly ambitious. But at the very least, this incident could be used to put an end to the conflict between Nagi and Ken. If he could put an end to the threat Nagi posed to Aya's and Ken's safety, that would be enough.
Having left straight from his apartment to pick up and deliver the food Nagi requested, Mamoru stood knocking at Nagi's door in no more time than one could have reasonably expected the errand to take.
