Jubilee slid under a mutate and her hands sparked, blowing the damned thing in half. God, she'd needed this. Her leg snapped out, busting the knee of another one as she jumped to her feet.

Her elbow crashed into the non-face of another and she flicked pafs at its feet, making it jump back.

"Another block over." She called back, her hands sparking once more.

She ducked under Kenny's arm, and avoided the rolling head headed toward her. "Ya know, maybe I should steal me a sword." She'd been thinking about it.

There was only so much time you could spend by yourself before you got bored. Really bored. Bored enough to try and talk to some of the monsters that were doing their very best to kill any and everything that moved. It didn't work out so well, mostly because they couldn't talk back, but it was far better than sitting in the Apart-Ment that had been given to him (For a month, a frame of time that Pesche wasn't entirely sure of) and waiting for his robot to talk to him.

But even after chasing down some untalkative monsters and trying to make them stop killing and talk for a while, Pesche was still lonely and bored. Relly, where was Uryuu at a time like this? Did Uryuu hide inside of his Apart-Ment during the night? Most humans seemed to do just that. Oh well.

Pesche walked along one of the sidewalks, following a seven-legged glass spider as it skittered away from him. "Wait!" he called after it, waving the eighth leg at it. "Wait, come back! I've got your - look, I didn't mean to pull it off. It just sort of broke! I can fix it!" ( ... )

"If we get you a sword, will you forget about your kidou shit?" He knew by now it wasn't really kidou, but the result was the same.

Kenpachi turned at the next corner, heading in the direction Jubilee had mentioned. But after only a few steps, he heard a scrambling sound. He turned, expecting to see more of the faceless fuckers, but instead a crystal spider was coming their way.

Was it missing a leg? It didn't matter because Kenpachi had already jumped on top of it to jam his sword in its clear abdomen.

Jubilee rolled her eyes. "Ya know, maybe I can use my pafs to make a sword." She loved needling Kenny just a tiny bit about her powers. He always seemed reluctant to admit they were useful - which, admittedly, pricked her pride just a tiny bit - and stayed with his sword.

She was about to say something more, when Kenny jumped on a scuttling spider thing, and Jubilee jumped back.

Her hands lit and she saw the guy running after it screaming about fixing it. Right. Mad scientist types and her didn't get along so well. (Thanks Sinister) The pafs exploded the cement in front of him. She didn't hurt humans if she could help it.

... Was he human? She grunted taking a hard hit in the back as another mutate jumped her. Jubilee began fighting to get free, her pafs going a bit wild.

"Wait! Come back!" Pesche waved the leg at the spider, but it didn't listen to him. Instead he just grew a sword from his middle bit. Or was it a her? Wait. How did a spider sprout a sword? The Arrancar screeched to a halt, dust rising from the sidewalk at his feet.

Oh, wait. He dropped the leg. Spiders didn't grow swords. Someone had to stick them into the spiders. A very, very big spooky someone. Pesche looked up, and up, and up and Kenpachi stopped there but Pesche kept looking up anyway. "There's more c ( ... )
