Who: der-hetzer and YOU! When: Friday night Where: In your dreams. Summary: Schuldig decides to explore dream scapes a little. Warnings: Possible creepiness, manipulation and so on.
It was Nibelheim all over again, flame and blood, death and betrayal. She was just as helpless now as she had been then, impotently running from place to place, always just a step behind the faceless killer.
It wasn't Sephiroth, couldn't be, but Tifa's mind spun the images all the same, wreathing the mysterious killers of Sirens Port in the familiar black coat and long silver hair of the man she hated more than anything else. Just as he'd taken her friends, her father, her life away...they were taking what little she had here.
Yuffie was dead in her arms, pounded almost flat, a heart-shaped piece of skin cut from the bottom of her foot. There were others nearby, she knew if she looked she would see them, littered likes dolls after a child has gone to bed. Joe. Riku. Sam. Zoro. Jinx. Miharu. Snake. Yoite.
Slowly Tifa pushed to her feet, the weight of the deaths weighing her down like chains looped around her shoulders, tied around her arms. Throwing back her head she screamed, hands clenching into fists.
"FIGHT ME! NO MORE DEATH, NO MORE KILLING! YOU COME AND FIGHT ME! -ME- DAMMIT! YOU LEAVE THEM ALONE!"
Her outburst had only earned her a condescending laugh from behind. If Tifa turned around, she would see Schuldig standing there, strangely nonchalant amidst the destruction, his hands tucked casually into the pocket of his expensive trousers.
"What makes you think you have a say?" He took a step closer. "This is your punishment, Tifa."
"You're not making any sense! There's no REASON for any of this, it's senseless, mindless and POINTLESS!" She yells the last at him, hands in fists clenched down at her sides.
"If you're just here to torment me then you're probably the one making this happen!", it's just a dream, but to Tifa it feels so real. She slams a heel down into the ground, tearing up a chunk of rock that's taller than she is and gripping the sides with both hands. With a snarl of effort she hurls it at her tormentor.
Schuldig only had to snap his fingers to make the boulder explode into a million pieces of useless fairy dust. People's minds and their constructs, dreams included, were his playground. In this place, he was God.
"No, Tifa Lockhart." He skipped a step, and disappeared into the darkness, reappearing behind her. Still floating in midair, Schuldig leaned forward to kiss at her ear like a lover would.

Just as you know why this, Schuldig gestured at the carnage around them, is happening.

"I am your conscience."
