Evening January 11th, closed to Magneto wingsandwill January 12 2012, 06:45:48 UTC
Castiel had flown straight from Crowley's place to his own apartment, landing less than gracefully and stumbling into the wall. Embarrassing, and not entirely because he was feeling unwell; he was distracted and confused and uncertain about everything he'd been doing now.

Frustrated, it was for the best that there wasn't actually an alcohol in his apartment any longer or he would have gotten straight into it. He could go get some easily enough, whether from Chuck or Sam or a store, but he didn't feel like going out and so ended up sinking onto the couch instead.

He'd been waiting for Castiel to come in. It wouldn't have surprised him if Castiel hadn't come home that night but he was glad he did. Soundlessly, he popped up the stairs and walked down the hall, knocked lightly on Castiel's door.

He didn't mind forcing his way in, if needed, but he'd prefer not to. So he knocked, and waited.

Castiel had closed his eyes and relaxed a bit on the couch, head pounding, by the time there was the knock. He was tempted to ignore it, but it was probably either Chuck or Michael, neither of which would let him get away with it. Far easier to let them in and then get rid of them.

He didn't get up from the couch, reaching out instead with telekinesis to open the door.

He walks in, giving Castiel a critical, though deeply concerned, look. "When did you last eat?"

He pushed the door shut with a flick of his fingers. He'd long since stopped bothering to not use his powers, enjoying having them back after years without.

"This morning." He'd actually been behaving, sort of. It hadn't been the healthiest meal in the world but it had been something.

"Too long ago. Do you have food here, or do I need to go get some?" He thought he was going to have to get some, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to ask first.

"I'm fine." Castiel responded, firmly. He wasn't sure when this had gone from a question to basically deciding he was going to eat something, which he didn't feel like doing, and so he was going to be difficult.

"That isn't what I asked. You can't live off one meal a day. Do you have food here or not?" Castiel could be difficult. He parented his son - successfully! - on occasion. Castiel was going to eat something and explain what had happened. He had all night.

Castiel turned his attention from the ceiling to Michael, eyes narrowing slightly, and he sat up on the couch. He was frustrated and angry, and despite being better than he had been a week ago still more than slightly depressed.

"It doesn't matter. Why are you here?"

"Because it matters to me." Answer to both statements.

If Castiel wasn't going to cooperate, he was just going to poke around the small kitchen himself. He had not spent a month taking care of Castiel for him to injure himself now. Grief passed, dulled in time, Magneto knew that better than most, and was still assuming that's what this was.

Castiel watched, warily, but didn't protest immediately. There was some food in the kitchen, mostly quick things--he'd taken a liking to frozen chinese food--but a few normal ingredients for things like sandwiches. Nothing that would be difficult or complicated because Castiel had neither the interest nor patience for eating, let alone cooking.

He doesn't make any of the frozen food, after reading it, he deems it not healthy enough. Instead he grabs a pan, looks for some butter or cooking oil to start toasting the bread, and make a couple sandwiches.

"If you don't want to cook, Francis and I keep the freezer downstairs stocked, you may take any you'd like. It's far healthier for you than this. I know you aren't used to eating, Castiel but you are only going to make yourself sick if you don't take care of yourself." He was lecturing, very much the tone of a father who had found out his child had ran off to university and was living off ramen noodles. Slight disappointment, a lot of concern.

He was quiet, listening, though he also frowned slightly at the beginning of cooking. He didn't remember inviting a long visit; he wanted to be left alone. That was the whole reason he had his own place, after all.

"Hunters subsist on such." He argued, just for the sake of it, though it was true. Hunters pretty much lived on diner food and frozen dinners, and Castiel was much more a hunter than an angel at the moment.

"Yes, and they are so healthy." Making sandwiches didn't take long - toasting the bread was the longest part, and that because he was doing it the long way to get more calories into Castiel.

"What happened before you fainted?"

"They are capable of feats that require good health." Or strong wills, which was probably more responsible in all honesty.

He watched the cooking process with some continued annoyance, before answering the question. "I flew to Crowley's apartment. That is all." And once he'd finished speaking he stood up, immediately struck by a wave of dizziness, but it soon passed and he crossed the room into the kitchen.

"Stubborness compensates for a lot." He knew that, too well. He's hardly been remotely healthy when he'd beaten a guard to death or carried Magda through Romania.

"I meant right before." He turned to pour some of the juice he had left for Castiel and handed it to him. "You don't look well."
