His heart was two sizes too small.

Who: The no_resignations and got_it_memorizd
When: evening, Sunday 25December2011
Where: Saïx's apartment
Summary: It just wouldn't be Christmas if Axel didn't harass his old friend.
Warnings: Saïx is a humbug and Axel is a festive troll.

If Saïx thought he could get away with this then he really had another thing coming. Nobody--pardon the pun--could just leave an anonymous but obvious gift with Axel's name on it on the doorstep and not stick around to suffer the consequences of gift-giving. As if it wasn't totally obvious who the frisbees were from, anyway! What kind of fool did Saïx take him for? The only other person who had really even ever seen those frisbees was Ventus, and Axel was confident the kid wouldn't have been able to recreate them in such accurate detail.

He had waited until evening, knowing Saïx was more likely to be home after dark, and then portaled his way over to the other man's apartment, pausing outside the door. He could have just as easily infiltrated his old friend's living room, but something stopped him and he wasn't even certain what. Axel honestly wasn't sure what to think anymore. A few months ago he would have taken any opportunity to give Saïx a hard time, to harass and heckle him to the point of cruelty if it came to it. SaïX had used him, hunted him down, and then left him for dead--most people wouldn't have even considered giving someone a second chance after all that, but Axel was still wrangling with the idea of forgiveness. It was all Roxas' fault, really. Not that he was complaining that the kid had forgiven him, but if he'd just made sense and stayed angry at him for all the crap he'd pulled this would have been a lot easier to face. Axel didn't really know how to forgive someone, because the only times he'd ever been wronged severely enough for it to matter, it hadn't really been anyone's fault. Though he supposed he wouldn't have forgiven the Heartless for destroying his home even if he'd been given the opportunity.

He stared at Saïx's door a moment, then lifted a hand and rapped on it crisply before folding his arms over his chest and popping his hip a bit. Tapping one foot impatiently he waited for the door to open. Maybe if he just kept bothering Saïx the right answer would come to him. At least giving him a hard time was familiar enough.

saïx, axel
