Summery: Himawari, the Greeters and the Protection Program are throwing a small cozy Holiday Party in the Tower Apartments. Small gifts, free food, drinks and cookies to all that come!

The Tower Apartments aren’t the nicest of places, but there is a nice sized meeting hall and it is decorated with the nicest of holiday ornaments and garland, red flowers and silver bells. It’s clean (a few people obviously put a lot of hard work into cleaning the hall and lobby this week before) and polished.
As you enter the hall you see to your left A corner and row of couches and chairs, all pulled from storage for comfort. There are small tables with candies in plastic holiday dishes where you can sit your drinks and sit and relax with friends. Meet, mingle, sit, chat and have fun here.
To your right there along the wall is a row of tables part of which has refreshments (soda’s, punch and eggnog (spiked and not)) all well marked to what they are with red plastic cups. On some of the tables there is an array of deli meats, cheeses, cut ham, holiday salads and rolls. Another has pies, cakes, home made cupcakes, cookies and sweets.
There is one table to the side where there is a stack of Gingerbread men and trees. All naked! There are candies and frosting for people to make their own gingerbread men with! Come decorate and have fun with that. Little bags are there as well in case you want to wrap them up to take home!
There are a few round tables out with chairs to sit and eat at. At the far end of the hall there is a flat wood dance floor that has been hauled out of storage, cleaned up and only slightly raised. To the side is the music system (To which the Doctor [11] has reworked, made better, stronger, and plan old awesome...) playing a good mix of holiday music, local music and fun dance tunes. Please feel free to request songs from the young boy with the cat ears and tail, who seems rather shy and doesn't talk much, but will play anything he can find for you.
The Christmas Tree: It’s only half decorated. When you come in you are encouraged to help place ornaments! There are candy canes, ornaments, ribbons and soft birds to places on the tree. There is a pile of small GIFTS under the tree. In order to claim a gift or a candy cane, you have to put an ornament on the tree! We’re working on the honor system, but a greeter might be around to help with this as well.
Greeters and those of the Protection program are encouraged to go around and talk to people, help with food, decorations, music and fun, but it’s not required. Himawari will be buzzing around the party doing this and that.
