[The video begins quite simply with Namine sitting around in what looks like a small room, looking around the walls and ceiling with a bored expression as if she was waiting for the video to turn on. It looks a bit like a low tech show, or one of those confessional areas on a realty show where contestants talk about the events of the day or each other.

She doesn't notice that the video's on just yet, but when she does, her bright yellow eyes flick over and she sits up straight with an easy smile.]

I am so, so glad I got picked for this. I mean, can you believe it? Jewels, free gorgeous gowns, tiaras-- What girl doesn't want a tiara? Not to mention more of the free stuff, like classes, butlers, and I could probably get more art stuff than I'd ever need.

[She giggles, amused at something for a moment.] Although, really? Who's ever of taking classes to princesshood? Practicing to make the perfect curtsy? How to properly refer or talk to people?

[She sighs and sits back in her chair, pouting.] I don't really want the work. I've done ( ... )

[Someone's asleep or about to be asleep when he calls. Namine's been trying to avoid watching the midnight broadcasts herself. Trying to ignore them and any idea that she might appear on there as well. She responds very blearily.]

Joe's taken a keen interest in the midnight TV since speaking to Souji, trying to understand these 'shadows'. What Souji called shadows, anyway.

They're not exactly heartless. They're not quite replicas, or nobodies. They are the dark parts of your heart. He doesn't have a decided name for them yet, but shadow still doesn't fit up right in his head.

And of himself, with some many of the things that people struggle with. On the TV, it's shown sometimes in a way that looks funny. Or engrossing, at the least. It's a bit like watching bad news on the TV- you don't want to look away, even if it's awful.

The worst part is wondering how much of it is real.

So he should have been preparing himself for the possibility that Namine could show up on his screen. Except he didn't think for a second- maybe took for granted that her heart was in Kairi, or denied that (coming from a heart of purest light) that she could be filled with any shadows, any darkness.

So his eyes are filled with surprise, at first. And it worries him just to see her ( ... )

After getting the call from Sora, and getting the tail end of the Shadow's broadcast, Namine wasn't entirely sure if she was up to meeting or even seeing other people. And out of all of her roommates, Joe was the one she wanted to see tonight the least ( ... )
