Somewhere in the back of his mind, he's aware that this behaviour is outright bizarre for him, and is even aware why he must be doing this. But to hell with that. How often does he get to feel happy, anyway?
And though Unohana-taichou had regarded him strangely, she'd seen no reason not to let him inside. So here he is.
He pokes his head inside, and oddity of oddities, there's a smile on his face. Even people who smile more than a couple of times a year shouldn't be doing so in this situation. And yet he is.
"Kuchiki-taichou. I'm a little later than I intended to be, but I had a few extra things to take care of." Even his tone is considerably brighter than usual.

Unfortunately, that didn't allow him to do much else. The games bored him or were too simple, there wasn't anyone to play Go or Chess against and, frankly, he just wanted to bang his head against a wall until he passed out.
His eyes flicked up when he felt Hitsugaya's reiatsu. He was relieved that he was finally going to be getting something constructive to do. (It made him miss the division. If he'd been hurt in Soul Society, Renji was always willing to bring him paperwork from either the division or the estate.)
An eyebrow ticked up at the... happy looking taichou. He eyed his tea suspiciously for a moment, but he hadn't drank any yet. "Of ( ... )

Nevermind he doesn't usually use Kuchiki's title unless they're discussing very serious matters. The title is important; using it is the considerate thing to do.
He enters the room proper, and his stride is dangerously close to having a bounce in it. He's been like this ever since the cafe, and though his mood may be drastically altered, his intelligence hasn't been dampened. It's obviously an effect of the drink. But he's too far under the effect to care.
He lightly sets the briefcase in Kuchiki's lap, then scans the room with eyes that are wider than normal. Kuchiki is probably going stir crazy in here. That won't do. "I take it you must be quite bored."

He glanced up at the suggestion and then looked at the blank television. He'd shut it off in disgust after an hour.
"I will manage. I do not understand the entertainment people find in certain mortal world conventions." Television sucks okay?
[[OOC: Obviously, this needs to happen now. Bya's attention will be more on Hitsu than the game, but YES.]]

"Kuchiki-taichou."

"Xavier-sensei, come in."
He rested the book on his legs, willing to be distracted. Hopefully, Hitsugaya-taichou would bring his briefcase soon.

"You are looking well." He'd expected much worse.

"Unohana-taichou is very thorough and very well versed in caring for injured shinigami." Never mind that he probably should have been in the hospital shortly after he arrived. If she'd been here, he probably would have been. Cutting your own tendons produces owies.

Meeting Unohana was rather.. Jarring, to say the least, though with the 'advantage' of having never been in a hospital before, there ended up being more hand-holding than anything else.
And so the blonde, clad in an orange sweater, scarf, and white pants, walks into the room carrying a gift wrapped in two ribbons, one white and one black.
She knew in her mind this was going to work hook, line, and sinker. A chance of a lifetime!

He felt someone arrive at the door and didn't look up. Probably just another volunteer - or a nurse bringing another tea. He glanced to the side. No, not tea. He still had plenty. He'd bring it up with Unohana later about getting one of his blends.
"Come in." He said absently. There were advantages to being Unohana's personal patient. No one would get past her that he didn't want to.

And she raised her free hand to her chest, "When I heard the news.. I was -so- worried. Thank goodness you're all right.. That is, are you all right? How are you feeling?"
And by the looks of things.. It seems she's by herself.

None of his thoughts showed on his face - he was too well trained for something like that to happen.
"I am fine." He put down the report. She'd come alone... where was Ella?

He'd come straight from class, which he was honestly surprised hadn't been cancelled today, what with that weird localized storm. But finals would be rescheduled, so he had some extra time to prepare for those. Nevermind he was pretty prepared already.
The nice lady doctor had kindly told him where Kuchiki-taichou's room was when he asked, and he'd smiled and thanked her before heading up.
He poked his head inside the door to see him sitting upright in the bed. Oh, good. He wouldn't be waking him up. "Hey, Kuchiki-taichou? Is it okay if I visit?"

He looked up, feeling a presence at the door. His eyes softened, seeing Gohan in the doorway. "Of course, Gohan-san. Come in." He marked his page and set it to the side.

Now that he was sure of his welcome, he came into the room, textbook still tucked under his arm. Dropping it off back at Nueva Las Noches beforehand just struck him as silly, since he'd be going there after this anyway. Honestly, he barely paid it any mind.
"I'm really glad you're okay. I know somebody who got killed by those things." He plopped himself into the chair next to the bed. "He's back now, but still."

"Unohana-taichou is very good at what she does." Even though that included keeping him in bed until he'd recovered some.
"You are well?"
He sincerely hoped Gohan wasn't going to go out and start looking for those things.

honestly, who cared about... He snapped the TV off in irritation and sipped his tea. Perhaps Unohana would let him go home. Hitsugaya was perfectly capable of...
"I am fine, Sheila-sama." Bored, cranky and more than a bit achy, but fine.

"La, I am glad to see it. Does this place give thee proper care?" She glances about the room, wondering again at how modern medicine manages to get anything accomplished with so much frippery and buttons and metal and sharp edges.
