(
it's a sick sight )
At the last second she remembered that even if she couldn't transform, she did keep her Crescent Blade on her from her old Sailor V costume. She pulled it out of her pocket and quickly swiped at the chain, finally snapping it and freeing the teen. They both stood with every intent to run the hell away, but their motions became much more interesting to the creature than the cat with the gun.
It turned on them and moved with surprising speed across the distance, tentacle-like protrusions launching out from it's sinewy mass. In a surprising turn, just as it was about to reach for Minako, the teen pushed her out of the way. She fell to the ground and looked up only in time to see the creature latch on to his legs and take him down hard and drag his body towards itself.
He didn't scream.
She didn't know why he didn't scream, when he had been so afraid to die earlier.
She reached out for him frantically, but already it was too late. The boy looked up at her with wide eyes, just as the entire blob enclosed around him.
"NO!"
"You helped--" was all the boy got to say before there was a sickening CRUNCH, and what blood wasn't instantly taken inside the thing sprayed across Minako's face. There was a moment of silence while the creature digested it's unfortunate pray before Minako began shrieking, shaking hands to her face desperately trying to rub the blood off, but only making it smear worse.
If Daniel didn't hurry, she was going to be next.

"Come on! Don't let his sacrifice be in vain! GET UP!"

Minako was dragged to her feet and pulled along, but she couldn't stop her panic. She had never seen some one die before, let alone get devoured in front of her. The feel of blood on her skin... it was still warm, sticky, wrong.
"No no no no no..." she was chanting under her breath as Daniel tried to get her out of there.

"We're almost there! Keep running!"

She had started sobbing at some point, but it didn't stop her from moving. Tears rolled down her cheeks rapidly, vision blurring. She tightened her grip on Daniel's hand since it was the only way to keep from losing him.

He caught sight of it moving outside the door, the silhouette of that horrible monster. How could something like that go unnoticed for so long? And why was it here now? It moved outside, ducking and dodging before seeming to give up and slink away into the night. Oh damn it all. That...that was terrifying.

She wouldn't sleep, even though she was exhausted. She couldn't stop crying, even though her eyes burned and her head ached. She could only wait with him until the sun rose again, and hope that the creature would vanish with the light...
