He was feeling itchy. The solar flare a few days ago had left him feeling buzzing and staticy, and the Danger Room just wasn't cutting it. He needed, desperately, to use some of the energy he was pulling in or he would never be able to sleep, and after sparking off in his office again, he cursed the Pull for giving him no safe place to let loose, no way of escape, if only long enough to clear the planet so he didn't scorch something with the energy bursts and finally left the HoA entirely, leaving behind the charm Chuck had told him to have Sam make. It wasn't a purposeful oversight, but he hadn't liked wearing his dogtags in Israel, he didn't like things around his neck, and was too jittery to tolerate it right now. After he'd kicked off the roof and flown as high as the Pull would allow - still higher than almost anything else - he landed lightly in a clearing in Sector 7, as far from people as he could manage. He settled into his favourite meditative pose, hovering about four feet off the ground, legs crossed, backs of his hands lightly on his knees. The air around him shimmered, pulsed, sparks showering off but not hitting the ground. After settling himself for about twenty minutes, he opened his eyes and focused, bring his hands together to cup them. Bending light away so he was invisible was easy, but pulling it into places where it wasn't was hard taking focus and concentration. But as Daedalus and Walter had proven with the modified FP shells - sunlight bullets fought back the Darkness. If he could manage to make a stable ball of sunlight, perhaps he could use it to slow the rot in Sector 10. Slowly, in his hand, a globe shimmered, heated, flared bight and fell apart. Over and over, trying to get the mix of various EM fields right, without resulting in fusion.
