Relaxing, she slipped her phone into her back pocket and flashed a slightly embarrassed smile. "Oh, hey. Yeah, been a while. How've you been?"

That being said, he was not looking forward to a harsh Canadian winter. It would make for poor everything, including hunting.
He folded his arms behind his back, at ease.
"Were you on your way home? Perhaps you would like to come by and have some dinner with me?"
In reality, Marluxia was not a very good cook. Two years since he had left the Organization and had to worry about those sort of things, and he had only mastered cooking rice and ramen noodles. Everything else was just sort of... there. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't something one was normally eager to share. He did have some wine, at least. That tended to make the food taste better.

Then she lifted her eyebrows and widened her eyes, a little thrown by the question. She wasn't aware he was ... interested. Unless it was all in a strictly friendly manner -- she was engaged after all (not that it stopped anyone from asking). Maybe no one realized. She didn't have her ring with her when she arrived.
"Ehm, sort of. I have a shift at the baseball diamond." And Amy wasn't the type to break a promise. She scratched the back of her head, adding, "Maybe some other time, yeah?"

Thinking about that pricked at a deeper memory, one that had been mostly suppressed since he arrived here, and one that he was sure he would soon forget again. Their second year anniversary had been a couple of days ago, hadn't it? An ache that was almost as powerful as the aches that he used to feel when he was totally bereft of a heart struck him, but he swallowed it back with one of those easy smiles that came so quickly when he was pretending to be anything but what he really was.
"No need to worry on it. You could come by after your shift is over if you would like. I hardly sleep these days. It would be nice to have some company, either way. I used to entertain friends all the time."

But then Amy started to wonder what it must be like to be in this place without knowing anybody. At least she always had the Doctor, but for people who were away from everything knew -- even if that wasn't the case for Marluxia. She was just more conscious about it.
She nodded. "Yeah, sure. I'll see what I can do."

"Give me a ring then. I do not sleep often these days, so I am up at all hours of the night. You would not be bothering me, nor the cat that has decided to adopt me." He smiled a bit at the thought of the needy little thing that wedged herself into his life.

Then she nodded her head, finding a smile as her hands slipped into her coat pockets again. "Definitely. I'll phone you and see what you and your cat are up to." She chuckled at the mention of the cat. She's still waiting for the day that the Doctor brings one home.

Marluxia returned her smile, arching his shoulders slightly. "I should not keep you today, however. You do have that commitment..."
