[ Helen had been in the hospital when it happened but hadn't heard until a couple of hours after the fact. She'd gotten the information from a nurse, thankful that it wasn't any worse than it was, and pleased with what she'd heard; Helen trusted the abilities and skills of all at Skye.

It's around half-four when Helen reaches Re-l's room, not expecting her to be awake just simply stopping by to see her. Seeing her awake, however, Helen gives a gentle knock on the door before sliding it open to step in. First appearance tells Helen that she was incredibly lucky, and that Re-l looks better than her imagination gave her ]

[Re-l's awake and settled in bed, running any program she can access on her NV to get her mind off of how she's feeling. Someone must have stuck around earlier to let her healing do the work. She'll be paying for that later this week, she bets.

She looks up as Helen comes in, lifting a hand.]

Hi.

[ Helen gives her a small smile, letting the door close behind her before stepping further into the room. She'll see how talkative Re-l is before deciding whether or not to take the chair ]

How are you feeling? [ Worst question ever because after what she's been through it can't be good, but then again the Port is full of anomalies ]

Like I was hit by a burning truck.

[Not extremely specific, but she knows a burn when she has one, and these are pretty annoying. The pain's dulled down but she still feels like hell warmed over.]

I take it you're not my doctor, though.

[ Helen gave a nod. She understood that, and how much worse it could have been ] I'm not, no. I came to see how you were doing, and if there was anything that you needed.

That's nice of you, Helen.

[She gives the woman a smile, actually surprised at the offer.]

I'd ask for breakfast but I hear hospitals are notorious for their bad food.

Thankfully I've not had cause to need to find that out here. [ She's never been a patient long enough ] Perhaps after morning siren there may be a little more on offer? [ She'll be taking that chair, now ]

Probably a good idea, though I hope to be out of here by siren.

That wouldn't be twenty-four hours. [ And that's all she's going to say on it. All that she can, really ]

And? I'm not a twenty-four hour stay kind of person.

[With the exception of being poisoned earlier in the year, but she would have left if Daedalus had let her.]

I'd just like to know that you're well enough to leave before you do.

I am, honestly. Things are sore and tender, but I'm fine.

I'm glad, it could have been far worse than it turned out to be. Nevertheless you should still rest some more.

I'm planning to go home and rest.

I mean until then. There's no sense in doing anything that could aggravate your injuries. [ And if she has to stay there until morning to keep an eye on you then she will do ]

I'm not going to sneak out in the middle of the Darkness. That'd be stupid.

[She could do it, though, but then she might not ever be allowed back here.]

My clothes are burned, anyhow, and I need new ones.
