[ Zoey has never been to a masquerade ball before. Well, okay, there's that time in the sixth grade with flimsy Mardi Gras masks, but she's not counting that time. (In fact, Zoey would rather pretend that day never existed at all.) But she spent a great deal of time and money on spending on a Halloween costume that she forgot about this particular party, so everything she got on is pretty much at the last minute. Considering the dress and the mask, Zoey thinks she did a bang-up job. Tucking loose strands of her hair behind her ear - the first time she ever let her hair down from a ponytail in public - she goes straight to the buffet table as quickly as she can with these measly high-heels.

Man, this place is wicked. Zoey approves whoever did the decor. ]

[Well, thank you. Although Morpheus gets a lot of the credit. Elaine's rather minimalistic and practical with her tastes.

Speaking of the hostess, she approaches to greet Zoey, outstretching her hand for a handshake.]
