It's a masquerade proper this time, after all- once confirming it wasn't quite the black tie and evening gown affair of last year's Lion's Gate masque, he'd resolved to find something a bit more costume-appropriate. And because it was Halloween, macabre was in season.
....Franz had a real laugh over it at least, his Medico Della Peste outfit, and the distinctive gilded plague mask.
It was a rental- Daedalus very pragmatically supposed he wouldn't have anywhere else to wear something so ostentatious, so it was only his for the evening. He was covered entirely, and hopefully not too many would figure out this was the mild and modest doctor- only some who watched close enough might recognize the ironic statement of a physician dressed in Venetian period costume.

This is really amazing... [Franz murmurs under his breath to his companion.] This place always manages to produce such spectacle.

There's so much to look around and see- it's a bit much to take in at once, particularly after he's spend about a week lounging around the apartment.
His voice is muffled slightly from the beak, he has to lean in to be heard clearly.]
I could swear Elaine's expanded it, and she's redone the entire interior, since we went for the opening...
[Embellished gold and white winked where all the stately polished black marble normally rose from the floor in sleek columns. His eyes followed them all the way up to the ceiling, eyes widening at the sight of chandeliers.]
...Were the parties on Luna like this?

[The bigger-inside space reminds him a little bit more of the Count's strange hideaway.]
They're not usually so... spooky, though. I do believe she's outdone herself.

[He agrees, glancing behind them at the door attendants.]
I don't see our host though-

[Elaine calls from an angle of his right. Although only her voice is recognizable. Her body seems like unsubstantial, silhouette made of outer space, framed by a blue cape.]
Hi. Welcome to the Masquerade.

Thank you for having us. This is an amazing party.

It's....yes...You've done a wonderful job with it, Elaine. I scarcely recognize the club, from the last time we were here!

You're welcome. I'm glad you could drag him. [ Daedalus has had a harsh month too. She smiles broadly when he stares at the stars. ]
The club's disguised tonight with us.

He smiled beneath his mask, and stepped over with a small motion of his hand, an awkward sort of wave.]

Good evening.

You're ah- Out and about as well, Doctor Xavier?

[He smiled - his own mask was just stuck to his face, free of straps or glue but left him fee of having to fool with it to eat, drink, or speak.]

[A curious smile- of course, it was always someone else's social life that a busy professional wound up tagging along for an an excuse.
Just the same, he might say he was here for Franz- except that was only a half-truth, he'd sorely needed to get out of the apartment and used to being around people again, after a week's isolation from work. And he did mean to see Elaine, congratulate her.]

[Just because it was the truth didn't mean it was the whole truth.]
