Summary: Larry just turned 26 and he's gonna party like whoa. Also, his SP-versary is the day

['SUP GUYS. Let's talk and stuff. Oh, and be careful with the statues of his BFFs.]

[ Yako has to admit, the life sized statues are a little unsettling-- she keeps thinking she catches Edgeworth and Phoenix out of the corner of her eye. In any case, this is like a breath of fresh air after all the nightmares. Something... normal. She's already picked at the buffet (and left it considerably diminished) so now she's looking around curiously to see who else made the Butz's guest list... ]

[WELL, THERE IS ONE GUY WHO WOULD MAKE THE BUTZ'S GUEST LIST ANY TIME. And he's waving at Yako. And hurrying over to her.]

Yako! Hey, Yako! Glad you made it!

[topslug]

Hey, Mr. Butz. [ She waves at him, pleased to see him-- and true enough, she hasn't brought a birthday present.

Or has she? When he comes close enough, she reaches into her bag and pulls out a sealed envelope, giving it to him with a smile. ]

Happy Birthday. [ It looks about the right size for a card, but is that all it is? ]

Thanks! [He takes the envelope.] Is this a paycheck? [Larry's joking. He actually laughs.]

[topslug]

[ Yako laughs, but shakes her head. ] No, but close enough.

[ Inside is a small gift certificate for an art supply store, and-- what looks like a small, computer-printed coupon. Except this one says, "CASH IN FOR ONE (1) DATE WITH YAKO KATSURAGI. VALID UNTIL 12/31/11." ]

[Larry opens the envelope. The first thing he notices is the gift certificate]

Wow, neat! I'm running low on -

[And then the coupon. His eyes widen, he's clearly surprised...then he lets out a laugh.]

Awesome, Yako! Good thing the expiration date's still a long way off!

Just don't forget that you're paying for dinner. [ She shrugs and laughs, waving one hand absently. One date isn't exactly a big deal. She's had dinner and lunch with Kimihiko how many times now...? That thought makes a sudden pang of loneliness rush through her, but she shakes it off, smiling. ]

Anyway, how are you doing?

Yeah, I will!

And I'm fine - I'm having a blast!

[dancing_pierrot]

[Franziska's just going to be standing here silently admiring the statues of Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth -- not that she would actually admit to doing such a thing when asked why she's standing over here.]

[INCOMING BUTZ IN 3...2...1...]

Franzy! Good to see you! [And he noticed her looking at the statues, too.] Like 'em?

[She nods at him in acknowledgement.]

They're ... adequate. [A pause.] You really did make these yourself?

Yup! Took me ages, but I finally finished them!

[dancing_pierrot]

[She paces around them a little longer, lowering her sunglasses to examine them more critically.]

And you're making these -- others like them, I mean -- to... sell, was it?

[troublesmells]

[Larry nods.]

Sculpture can really reel in the money, but I'm never gonna sell these. They're my masterpieces!

[blondandperfect]

[Knock knock, who's ther- INTERRUPTING HATTIE! Larry might feel a pinch at his lower back; or maybe he avoided it.]

'Never going to'. Happy Birthday, Lawrence.

[Hattie almost seems to just -appear- behind Larry, hand on her hip and another holding a small gift wrapped in violet paper. She's a bit overdressed for the party, wearing a lovely orange dress and accessories aplenty.]
