[ Another evening alone in the house, and Peter was already beyond sick of this. Sick of being stuck here, stewing in his guilt. He knew he could leave, but that hardly mattered when he already knew exactly what it was he could do if he left again. If something happened, if he was to happen to someone else. Mind, he didn't want another Jason occurrence but that hardly mattered in comparison to what he'd done to Robin. To Sylar. To Chuck. Jason could have killed him multiple times over and he still would've been weighed down by the guilt of it all.
Spike had gone out for the evening, and so Peter was making use of the empty apartment to do absolutely nothing. Intermittently pace and curl up in the corner of the couch to flip mindlessly through tv channels. Peter had nothing against Spike leaving; it wasn't like they could spend the whole day cooped up together anymore without wanting to strangle each other. He wasn't stupid, Peter knew that Spike was getting endlessly tired of him, the Jason situation hadn't helped, and so Peter was nearly shoving his roommate out the door these days. He didn't want to feel like a burden on top of everything else.
Hunkered down into the couch, Peter felt a particular nagging at the back of his mind that he'd grown used to and he had half a mind to pull apart the television for kicks, just so he could put it back together. But how many times had he done that in the past few weeks, and how boring had that become, along with nearly every other appliance in the house. It had gotten old unbearably fast and so Peter tamped his unwieldy addiction down, staring at the television instead of trying to see through it. ]
