[Soma took the day off from Fangtasia for once, coming to the field after school to walk around and collect himself. The lack of sirens that week had given him a scare, and also brought up concerns. He had not felt the darkness closing in. He hadn't felt anything. Did that really mean his powers were gone? That he'd never have to worry about the Power of Dominance or Dracula ever again?]

[One of the animals not only noticed him, but recognized him before looking at his direction. The great wolf’s warm eyes fixed on him -- Elaine recalled him from the night Batman died. He was the boy she saved from the Spitter. She was glad he was all right. At least it helped her to shed away some of the guilt of her non interference when it mattered.

Elaine Belloc strides towards him with a straight posture but offering no open menace.]

[Soma stumbled back, about to bolt, but... It took him a moment, but he realized that the wolf did not look like it was going to bite his face off. In fact, the eyes kind of looked... familiar?]

[He hesitated a moment, stopping his backward retreat a moment. He bit his lip, before kneeling down, trying to get a good look.]

WE WOULDN'T HAVE RACE LIKE THIS IN THE OTHER SECTORS WITHOUT CAUSING MORE THAN A FEW ACCIDENTS.
