Summary: Tifa's grown increasingly worried about what she sees as Sam accepting his slavery. It's come to the point that she has to say something.

The bar is exactly where Tifa will find him today. It's a slow period, and he's chatting at one end with the only guest who's out of the baths and looking for a drink this afternoon. Sam makes some joke that gets a smile out of the man, then taps on the counter with a louder "I'll be right back with that."

He sees Tifa when he goes to get a beer glass, and his face brightens. "Hey!"

"Hey Sam." She smiles softly at her boss, moving to the other end of the bar from the other guest. No reason to be causing a stir with what she had to say, she didn't want to cause problems for Sam.

"One sec, let me just get this gentleman set up. I'll be right over." Still grinning, he turns back to making filling a pint glass and slides it over to the man, who thanks him with a tired smile.

Sam's down at the other end of the bar in a flash, happy to see a familiar smile. "What can I get you? Let me get you somethin' to drink. We're real well stocked."

"I'm okay, but thanks." Something about this place made her not even want to drink the water, never mind anything behind the counter. "Do you have a few minutes to talk? I don't want to get you in trouble."

"Not even a little white wine?" Sam almost looks put-out. But, well, he doesn't want to force anything on her.

"And yeah, sure. What good's a bartender who can't chat with the people he's tendin' to?"

"Well..." With that kicked-puppy look, how could she say no? "...maybe I can have something, what do you recommend?"
