Where: At a park, near playground somewhere in the city.
Summary: Takes place shortly after this thread. Sora adds another name to the list of friends he won't be meeting again back home.

[It's a surprise to Xion when Sora calls her on her NV asking her to come and hang out. She agrees happily; her shift is done and she hadn't got anything else planned for her afternoon. She's going to take some food over to Ven and Terra and try to help them get their minds off Aqua's disappearance.

It's terrible that she's gone again. Xion can't stand the thought of Ven being so unhappy, or Terra. It's so hard to lose a friend, to feel lost without them around. She knows all too well after all. Even so, feeling so sad for her friends while feeling so happy herself to have Axel back is oddly conflicting. She woke up today knowing that she could see both her best friends if she wanted to. Ven doesn't have that anymore. It's not fair.

Perhaps she should ask Sora about what she should do.

She sees him in the park and a small smile breaks on her face. Something about talking to that boy always makes her feel better.]

Sora!

[Sora brightens when he sees Xion approach. He's gotten used to seeing Xion as a certain redhead, but with Kairi gone from the port, there's no question about who's walking to meet him. His smile's big and bright- no use in being sad straight off the bat. He wants this to be really fun, and if they get to talking about certain things, it'll be at their own pace.]

Hey there Xion! Glad you made it! Hope you weren't busy or anything.

[She catches up to him and stops for a moment to catch her breath, then looks at him with a smile.]

No, I was all done with work and I didn't have anything else to do so you actually caught me at a great time!

[She looks around them, curious about their surroundings. She can't remember ever coming to this park before.]

So what's fun to do here?

Great. It's been too long since we've hung out.

There's exploring- I've been here three months and I still haven't seen everything.

[He spares a glance around too- mostly an open area spotted with trees. Cement paths wind through the park. There's even an empty playground nearby.]

We could always visit Kahve too. I heard you guys've got some new stuff on the menu.

[She smiles.]

That's right; I talked to a really nice lady called Lois and she thought it'd be a good idea to do something with apples for the fall, so that's what we're doing. But uh, do you mind if we just hang around outside? I mean, I love Kahve but I just came from there.

[She laughs a bit and looks over at the playground.]

Hey, wanna go explore over there?

[lockandkeyblade]

Good idea. It's a nice day to be outdoors anyhow.

[Besides, asking Sora to explore or play is like asking a fish to swim. So once Xion starts walking, so does he. Hmmm... The name she mentions strikes him as familiar.]

Lois? That wouldn't happen to be a Lois Lane, would it?

[She keeps pace beside him, enjoying the weather and the company, and she turns to him with a nod when he hits the nail on the head.]

That's right, Lois Lane. She gave me some really good advice when I needed it for my date.

[What is it about this dating business that makes her smile stupidly?]

Hey, thanks for keeping it a secret. I told Roxas about it now, he's okay about it. I think I knew he would be, deep down, but I just wasn't sure, you know? But thank you.

[lockandkeyblade]

[He stops for a moment to slump where he stands.] You know, me and Roxas nearly ran into you guys while we were out skateboarding. I had to steer Roxas away before he figured out what was going on.

[As he straightens, he looks relieved.] Least he finally knows. I kinda figured he'd be okay with it. I don't know why he wouldn't.

[She laughs as he slumps; sometimes Sora's easier to read than a book.]

Oh yeah, I was going to ask you about that. He said he saw us when you two were out when I was telling him about the date.

[And now she puts a hand on his shoulder, giving it a squeeze.]

Thank you for doing that. You're a good friend, Sora.

[He just gives Xion a smile in return. Promises are pretty important to Sora. If he can, he'll keep it.] Any time.

[But speaking of dates... There's a bit of a teasing tone in his voice as they finally reach the playground. It's just the two of them at the moment, so they've got the entire thing to themselves.]

So I guess that means things are going well for you two lovebirds.

[Xion wonders if her cheeks will ever stop going red when it comes to talking about her and Ven. But for now she just nods enthusiastically.]

Well the date had bit of a bumpy end, but it was a great date. We had a really good time, I didn't really want it to end. And I think Terra's feeling a bit better about it too. I hope.

[lockandkeyblade]

[Whoa, hang on a second there- there's a whole lot in those couple of sentences that peak Sora's curiosity all at once. What did she mean by 'bumpy end' and what's with Terra? He'll probably tackle it one question at a time.]

[And then when those little questions are out of the way... he'll bring up his and Roxas' conversation.]

Terra didn't like you guys dating? How come?

I think he's okay with the dating now. It was just the kissing he didn't seem to like too much when he, um, caught us by the lake.

[She sticks her hands into the pockets of her pants and shrugs.]

I mean... I guess I'd be a bit weirded out if I saw Roxas kissing someone all of a sudden, I think I understand why he was upset.

[And there's a certain uncomfortable pause as Sora realizes much the same. He's not sure how he'd feel if he'd gotten blindsided by Riku or Kairi kissing somebody. He'd been pretty nose when he got surprised by the whole Jinx-Riku dating thing from before he got to Siren's Port.]

I guess I'd kinda feel the same way. Especially if I didn't hear about it before.

I'm glad it all worked out for you guys.

[She smiles.]

Thanks. I'm really glad it's working out too, I really like him.

[As they draw closer to the park, Xion picks up her pace a bit and grins as she catches sight of the swings.]
