Who: Selina Kyle (
felinefetale) and you.
When: September 13th, after the sirens. She's been directed here by a few people on the network. She just couldn't stay in.
Where: Club Zero
Summary: She has a slight concussion. She's drinking bourbon. She's interested in the city and the criminal underworld. CLEARLY THIS IS GOING TO END MARVELOUSLY. This can be slow tagged, back tagged, whatever.
Warnings: None - yet.
Setting up a tab had been easy.
A smile, here a laugh there. Selina had leant across the bar, crossing her legs, her red lips slowly requesting the best bourbon they had to offer. The bar tender had been putty in her hands. A little conversation about how she was new here, how she didn't know anyone, how she was all alone in this big place and the monsters were so terrifying. She'd probably never have to buy another drink when he was on staff again.
The black dress she wore wasn't in the best condition, but it was dry now. She'd pulled at the split hem, tearing it, making it shorter and a little less couture. It looked a little trashier but not completely ridiculous. Tomorrow she would go shopping, but now she really just wanted to relax a little. The vintage Cartier watching sat on her wrist, tomorrow it would go to some pawn shop or jeweller in the city. It was going to finance her until she got her shit together in this place. Such a shame to say goodbye to the pretty thing. She hadn't even stolen it, well...not directly. Luckily she'd arrived in this place not completely empty handed, a few items of small clothing, make up, jewellery...
But the best part lay underneath her bed back the apartment.
The leather, the cowl, the goggles, boots. What a clever girl she'd been that night, and how clever the pull had been to take her so well prepared. Thank god for small mercies.
As she let the glass rest between her hands she stared into the rows of spirit bottles behind the bar.
Her head had quit aching a while ago and she was feeling better, clearer. There was no sense staying in her apartment anyway, she'd sleep when the sun came up. The night here intrigued her. The monsters. The people, their fear. Reading through the manual the staff had given her, she had come to the conclusion that this place was pretty much like any sprawling hub. Crime, disease, vice - they were more than likely rife. It was all here for her to take advantage of.
All here to play with.
But for now she'd drink and ponder. She'd ignore the crowds around her, they all seemed to be enjoying themselves anyway. There was no fear here. Just drinks and conversation, maybe a few people from earlier, or someone she could talk to, get a little information. She was glad she'd made it to this place before the sun had set, the sirens haunting the night air outside. Beyond the doors of the club she could sense the stillness, it made her stomach twist.
Another drink was definitely in order. Tonight was for Selina, tomorrow, when she was ready the Cat would go out and play.
