[Snake hasn't been able to turn it off since the earthquake. The latent telepathy that Cradle Pharmaceuticals was able to temporarily induce with life-threatening tests has been switched on for good, and cannot switch off. In the moment where the world shook, Snake had experienced a profound fear of being once again separated from his sister Clover, and listened for her.
Much to his surprise, Clover called out from miles away. Their connection was and is insanely strong.
After this much time in Siren's Port, Snake is well aware of the Core giving people strange abilities. It seems that he can no longer shove his telepathy away in his mind, dismissed as a dark time and circumstances never repeated. He receives a lot of information without really meaning to, though over these few weeks he's managed to mostly keep himself from being totally assaulted by the unguarded thoughts of others. He has it in his head that between Clover's transmitting strengths and his own receiving, they could affect some change in the climate of the city, so he has carefully begun to read the minds of others.
He and Clover have completed their move into the SPU dormitory successfully, Clover being allowed to stay with Snake in his more accessible two-roomer. It's time to leave behind his key, and, quite stubbornly, Snake is attending the errand alone.
His is leaving the main lobby when it occurs to him to poke around a bit. June has been missing for over a month now, and it seems the sweet-voiced girl from their world is not returning. But he cannot leave this place behind forever without at least one cursory glance - he thinks, perhaps, that someone in the building might know more about June's fate. The girl was not his friend, really, she could have even been a potential enemy, but she was young, she was probably someone's sister, and he had felt a protectiveness of her he's now failed in. One last check was fair enough.
Snake is a tall and slender man in his twenties with a somewhat gaunt-looking but handsome face. He is dressed in second-hand clothes and carries a white cane. Currently, in the lobby of Tower Apartments, he is scanning the area for anything that brings up a memory or impression of June.]
