[Tyki said he was curious, and he is - enough to hit opening night and pay out, at least. He looks quite dapper, and he's not sure he wants to be bitten by anyone at all yet, but he's curious enough to observe. For the moment, he's kicked back easily at one of the free tables, alone but watching.]

[draculalite]

[He's being watched as well, since Raphael is making damn sure he investigates everyone in the room, gets a sense for them... ensures that they aren't keeping their eyes on Amy for any reason.

He makes eye contact with the young man but says nothing to him, simply waiting off to the side.]

[phaseshifts]

[Your daughter is cute, Raphael, and if she was a little older Tyki might...

At least, if she LOOKED a little older. For now, her apparent age keeps Tyki from creeping too much on her. He does give Raphael a lazy smile upon eye contact, though, moving out of the older man's line of vision a moment later.]

[draculalite]

[GOOD BECAUSE SHE'S 14 AND DADDY WILL GUT YOU LIKE A FISH.

Raphael approaches finally after the smile.]

Enjoying the party?

[phaseshifts]

[14 is too young for Tyki... MAYBE WHEN SHE GETS A FEW MORE YEARS ON HER.

He watches Raphael approach, still with that easy smile.]

It's not half bad. Are you?

[draculalite]

[AND THEN YOU WILL BE GUTTED LIKE A FISH.]

I hold out hope that the man operating the music will suddenly realize what he is doing and cease immediately.

Otherwise, it is... better than I assumed it would be.

[phaseshifts]

That's what they like, in this day and age, you know. [He's laughing!] If you thought it would be such a trial, why did you come?

[draculalite]

Because it is rude not to attend a party that is meant to be hosted especially for you.

And it is not as though I would permit my daughter to attend by herself. [God, no. Raphael is glad he came with her. This doesn't seem like a good place for someone her age.]

[phaseshifts]

Oh... so you're one of them. [Tyki looks interested, more than anything else - though he glances back to the crowd, then.]

Which one is she?

[draculalite]

In a sense. [He sounds a bit put-off about it, but never mind.

He gestures to Amy.] The beautiful girl with the red curls is my dear daughter Amy.

[phaseshifts]

Well, what sense? Yes or no?

[After a moment's looking, Tyki spots her too, and just... watches.] Is she as young as she looks?

[draculalite]

Yes.

[Changing the subject...] She is nearly fifteen.

[phaseshifts]

Hm! What a good papa.

[draculalite]

[Raphael looks very proud of that.]

It is rare that someone will attempt to reach out to those different from them in such a manner. I did not want to keep her from coming.

[phaseshifts]

You mean that Eric, making this place up in the first place?

[draculalite]

Indeed.

[He huffs.] Though I do not understand the mindset of anyone who comes here to willingly be fed upon. I cannot fathom the motivations for doing so.
