Breakfast had turned into breakfast in bed, which had turned into not leaving the bedroom for the better part of the day. Harry made up for lost time like he did everything else; with a big bang--though as Elaine discovered, there were certain benefits to being the Winter Knight. Such as winter's inherent ability to last for a very long time. No need make any jokes about icicles though; he still had as much fire as ever. Now, she lay curled up on her side next to him, glad she had brought all of her few belongings over from the office to the apartment in his absence. She had a feeling that he wasn't going to let her leave any time soon.
It had been a long time coming, but it had been worth the wait.
