[Kate is indeed in her new room. She's just finished changing out of her costume and pretty much faceplanted on her bed from there. When she hears the knock and the voice though she gets up, going to open the door]

Hey. What's up?

[alwaysfindsyou]

[He gives her a big smile, something he hasn't been able to stop doing whenever he sees her. Having not only Teddy but Tommy and her here has made things a lot better.] Got some time to talk about something? I had an idea I could use some help with...

[She smiles back because she's still pretty glad to see him too. When he asks if she has time to talk, she nods] Plenty. Wanna come in and talk?

[alwaysfindsyou]

Sure. And hey, if you need or want anything else for your room, I can just magic some stuff up. Thought I'd offer before I forgot to mention it.

[artemisaim]

I remember. But I think I'm okay for now. I don't really want anything at the moment. [Secretly she's holding out hope that they'll find a way home soon, but that might be pointless] So, did you need something or just want to talk?

[alwaysfindsyou]

A little bit of both, honestly. [He steps inside, not looking at her for a moment, face looking a little conflicted.] Has anyone told you about what happened to Tommy before...? And about what happened after...? [Trails off.]

[artemisaim]

Oh? [She closes the door behind him, shaking her head when he asks the question] Not really. I heard the thing about him dying but nothing else. I was hoping you would tell me what was going on.

[alwaysfindsyou]

What's the last thing you remember from back home again? The timelines get all mixed up here; it's hard to remember who's from where. [Gives her an apologetic look.]

[She rolls her eyes] Time travel. The last thing I remember is the inn on Wundagore. We were staying there after you tried to run off with Quicksilver to do something that was probably stupid.

[alwaysfindsyou]

Okay. [He gives a little serious nod.] So you already know about the whole thing with the Sons of the Serpent. Well... Tommy and I were out at night fighting the monsters here. One got the drop on me, Tommy got in the way...

[Billy looks away, fists tightening. It's still not easy to talk about.] He saved my life and then he...

I lost control again. I just blacked out and the next thing I knew, all the ones around us were just. Gone, somehow. But I didn't stop there. I went after more of them. If Teddy and Zayde hadn't stopped me...

[He takes in a deep breath, shaking his head a little.] There's not much in the way of magic teachers here, but I've been training because I don't want that to happen again. This is the second time...

[She's quiet, listening, letting him say what he needs to say. When he finishes she doesn't even really know how to respond. Tommy had died protecting Billy, but yet he was here, right now. That didn't seem possible. Then again, most of this didn't seem possible and yet here they were. She opened her mouth to reply but nothing would come out. So instead she did the only other thing she could think of and wrapped her arms around Billy neck, hugging him tight]

Oh god, Billy. I...don't even know what to say. Are you okay? I mean, it's probably a really dumb question but I have to ask.

[alwaysfindsyou]

[He's a little surprised by the gesture, but hugs back.] Hey, it's okay. I got sent back home after it happened for a bit and got to see he was alright back there. And he's back here too so it's... better.

[Billy hesitates, being completely honest with Kate.] I mean, I wasn't okay but I am now... It's just... one of those things I'm never going to be able to get out of my head, like what happened with Teddy during the war...

I got to thinking, what if there's other people here who need help with their powers? We could, I don't know, put together like a training group or something... I was thinking about it before but then that thing happened with Tommy so it kind of got held off for a bit.
