[Kyoji's just chilling at his chair at the meeting, currently drawing up plans for some of the ideas they've decided to implement.]

[Lee comes over to him, already having Combot take care of some stuff.]

So, how are you finding the company so far, Kyoji?

[thegermanninja]

[He looks up from his work with a bit of a smile.]

Ah, it's quite wonderful, so far. Almost like home, only I don't expect to be working on any mobile suits any time soon.

Mobile suits? [He perks up, he's rather curious.]

[thegermanninja]

Ah, yes, mobile suits... they are large robotic armors, with a human pilot who controls it from a cockpit inside. I used to design and build them, back home, with the help of my father.

[His eyes widen a bit.]

Impressive. Just you and your father?

[thegermanninja]

[He gives a nod.] My father was one of the greatest minds in all of Japan. [He's found that easier to say than "Neo-Japan" - it raises less questions.] He inspired me, growing up, and so I became a scientist to follow in his footsteps. [Then, he gives a little smile.] It sounds rather silly when I say it out loud.

Well, does that mean you're looking to be one of the greatest minds in the Port, too?

[He chuckles good-naturedly. He's actually quite pleased by the people he attracted to the company. They seem to be very promising co-workers.]

Not necessarily. I'd like to contribute, if I can, but I'm not exactly looking for glory. I just want to help out... help out the people, the community. That's all I can really ask.

[A very optimistic reply, after all of the terrible things that happened in his world. While none of it was exactly his fault, he still feels responsible in some fashion. All he wants is to help people, and the Earth in any small way that he can.

Huh. Well... people like you are rare where I come from. Everyone I know back home is hungry for power.

That is, unfortunately, quite commonplace in my world as well. My mother died because of one such megalomaniac.

Rest assured that I don't have aims for megalomania in this company. And I expect all my staff to follow that.

Well, you can count me out. All of my plans are completely peaceful.

It's a secret aim of mine to bypass SERO someday. I know we're the underdog as a newcomer business, but in time, I hope that we'll be treated as an essential part of the local economy.

[He nods.] And it's quite admirable, considering how easily we are ignored, even if we are "just" Newcomers.

And being an underdog means nothing. I've seen men rise up through the Gundam Fight that no one expected to even get into the semi-finals, let alone the finals. [Yeah, random example from his world, but even Kyoji sometimes he forgets that people have no idea what it is.]
