Erik had been alerted to Julian's presence, and he finished with his dough, placing it in a bowl, covered it with a towel and placed it back on a counter to rise until later.

There was a smudge of flour over his cheek that he didn't notice as he exist the kitchen, walking to the conference room. He was curious what the boy needed and he was curious if it had something to do with the other boy, Kevin, or if it was about arranging practise times.

He rapped lightly on the door before entering, not dissimilar to a doctor knocking on a patient's room.

Julian looks up at the knock and turns to see Xavier walking into the room. He isn’t sitting; he’s by the window, where he’s been looking out and considering what’s the best way to ask about this. He still doesn’t really know.

“Hey, Doctor Xavier,” he says. He notices the smudge of flour and figures he’s interrupting. Damn it. Working nights isn’t the best way to keep track of time. “Thanks for seeing me, I know it’s kinda out of the blue. I actually, I don’t even know if you can help, but…” But Kevin wanted him to ask. It wasn’t like Julian could blame him, not after what had happened. “But you’re the only one I think I could ask. Do you know anything about power inhibitors?”

He inclines his head slightly in greeting. Really, not sleeping as he does gives him a different schedule than most anyway.

"You're welcome, and don't worry about it." He listened, one white brow ticking up.

"Quite a lot, and I've built several. Why?" He could guess, but he wasn't going to offer by proxy. If Kevin wanted, he needed to talk to Erik in person.

Julian frowns. "Because Kevin has an interest in them. He thinks they might help him."

Julian actually disagrees with this assessment. He doesn't think blocking Kevin's power will help to control it at all. Like with any power, he believes the only way to control it is to practice, to train, to learn more about it and find its triggers and limitations. He has never thought mutants should have to hide their powers or turn them off. But it wasn't his choice to make, and he wasn't the one who'd have to live with the consequences of Kevin's powers going out of control. That was why he was helping, or doing his best to help anyway. He was trying to do what was right for the boy, not the mutant.

"Can you tell me how they work? What their limits are?"
