Summary: Mina's out looking for something to quench her thirst. Darkness strikes, she becomes more damselly than she'd prefer and Spike saves her ass. Seward & Van Helsing are looking for her and also help save her.

There were always two side to everything, that was something that Mina had learned long ago. Whilst Mina appreciated, and even enjoyed living with Seward and Van Helsing there were certain thing that she had the need to take extra care with. There were times when she had almost said too much, or even said something inadvertently. She had become so used to being along, being without her dear friends that she needed to remind herself that there was much that they were unaware of. And she knew that - one day - there would be a time when they everything. But that day was not today. Not yet.
She had waited until it was late, hours after the siren's had called out. Hours after the Darkness had crept. There were parts of it that made even her uneasy, along with a few encounters along the way but the need that she felt, the call for blood was not one that she could ignore. Not when the consequences would be dire.
Going out was the easy part, as was making her way to the town. She was on alert, her senses flared for any unnatural movement. And she found it, but that wasn't enough. She was fast but they were faster. And stronger. Despite her strength, her speed it wasn't enough. And she was cornered. Injured. And something was blocking her healing.
