She let her cloak billow out behind her, eyes fixed intently on the crowd around the telepath. Had he assembled a small army already, or was he just trying to disguise himself among a crowd? She stretched out her senses, trying to be discreet and yet pick him out of the crowd. Someone with that kind of power would definitely stick out to her, after all.
"Right," she said. "Got a plan? Want me to try lifting him out or something?"

There was a grapple gun attached to his belt - Batman's - and he unclipped it, raising it away from his cape so that she can see it clearly.
"I can sweep in with this, or you can grab him and teleport out, the way you did with those kids the other day--I can catch up. The key is just to get him away from people he can use as weapons against us. If anyone else gets caught up in the crossfire, then we'll have to retreat, and try another day. He probably knows that already, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's half a dozen people programmed to jump in and fight to the death anyone who tries to take him.
"Doesn't leave us with many options, does it?"

She turned to peer at the distant crowd again. "Might be unavoidable either way. Though if I go in and you draw their attention, you might be able to bait them away at the same time I teleport him."
She glanced around. "Maybe to the square behind us," she added. "Enough open space and no one there to get affected."

The square is fine, so he doesn't need to delve further into that, just get to work. Clark jumps away, landing with a splash of colour just outside the knitted group of people around their target.
He knows how to attract attention to himself, that much if for sure.
"The game's up, Hoffman. It's time to go back to the hospital."
Their worries had been spot on. Immediately a dozen or so of the group around the man split off, veering toward Clark. They seemed rather lucid, actually.
A speedster seized him around the chest, but was easy to shrug off. The next person to reach him hit him like a bus, and they fell back onto the sidewalk together as the others rushed to get in on the action. Well...at least it was a diversion?
