Who: Hannah and Luca~ When: Backdated to June 7th, about 9pm. Where: The Trancy.Phatomhive household. Summary: Bed time story shenagins. Warnings: Adorable fluff.
As per usual, Luca's bed and room are full of different toys and stuffed animals scattered throughout. On the bed in particular are quite a few that have been found important enough to be allotted a space near the pillows, mainly consisting of the ones bought and given by Alois and Jack. Tucked under his arm as he snuggle down into the pillows, however, was the stuffed rabbit Hannah had gifted him with, pulled up tonight so it could be used partially as a pillow. Quackers already slept soundly somewhere near the foot of the bed.
He looks over the books for a moment before reaching out and tapping one, yawning a little. "Peter Pan!"
Peter Pan is after her time; literature that is ahead of them both, so the story is unfamiliar to her. She sits herself down onto the bed beside him, placing the other books onto the floor and then sitting herself upright, Peter Pan sitting on her lap, waiting.
She tucks him in first; both sides secure but not too restricting.
"If you're comfortable," she says, opening up the first page. All children grow up, except one- and Hannah can appreciate the irony in that statement.
He apparently is, as he relaxes completely, watching the book and Hannah as she reads. He stays quiet for most of it, only occasionally interrupting to yawn or ask a question or even point to a picture. And at one point, the curiosity is apparently too much as he interrupts her fully.
She pauses and places a finger against the current page and looks at Luca in surprise. Hannah wants to say fiction is fiction, but then Hannah knows that the possibilities for worlds are endless. Siren's Port has confirmed that much. She nods slowly, as though considering the possibility.
At that, he smiles. "Then I wanna go there. Not t' stay, but there's someone I wanna take there." This time he moves so he can look up at her completely, instead of at the book. "D'you think if we found fairy dust I could?"
She rests her hand on top his head and smiles fondly. If she could do it, Hannah would have Luca in Neverland in a heart beat - and she thinks, if worlds are endless and possibilities are too, then maybe one day a fairy will fall into Siren's Port and be charmed by this little boy like she has been.
"You would need a happy thought, too," she says quietly.
"Of course," she says with another smile. Hannah simply cannot feeling so overwhelmingly fond of Luca; so overwhelmingly happy just to be able to simple little things like to read him at night.
She marks the page twice; folds the corner of their page and then sets a book mark inside. And then she bends down to lift the other two books, and then sets all three on her lap. She hesitates, just for a moment, before she smooths his hair from his head and leans down to press a quick, chaste kiss against it.
She nods once and settles herself more comfortably. She doesn't bat an eyelid about leaving the light on, because she remembers Alois' panic attacks more than well enough.

She strokes his hair for a moment and then withdraws her hand and lets it drop on top the book. "Shall I stop there for tonight?"
