It wasn't a big clinic; a few beds that were separated by curtains, and two examining rooms. Now that he was there in the mornings every other day, he could at least let people know when to come in.

So when someone came in for the appointed time, he knew who it was.

"Sheila?" He asked with a smile, sticking out his hand. "I'm Doctor Tenma, it's nice to meet you."

Small but clean; Sheila appreciates that part deeply. She's pleased to see Doctor Tenma, and appreciates his professionalism. "We have met, through the communication of the Port." She holds out her own, and manages a handshake - a weak one, as she's not used to shaking hands yet.

Her hand drops to her lap. "What tests hath thou for me?"

"It's nice to meet you in person, then," Tenma smiled, letting go of her hand and taking a seat across from her.

"We don't have the machines here that we do at SP General, but we have some simple tests. Basically we have some memory quizzes, and I'm just going to check your head, make sure nothing is growing where it shouldn't be."

"Aye," Sheila agrees, sitting up straight in the chair.

She nods her head, by way of giving him permission.

"I'm going to be pressing lightly on spots around your head. I want you to tell me if it starts to hurt anywhere," Tenma said, getting up and putting his hands gently on her head. He began to press lightly, slowly, working his way around her head and then over.

She nods her head again, once, to indicate her acquiescence. Nothing hurts, so she sits as still as a log and makes not a peep, which is terribly helpful for his diagnostic study but terribly boring for her.

"Okay. Seems fine so far," Tenma said once he was done, taking his seat again and making a note in her chart. "Now what abilities are you beginning to learn? Or did you have them before you came here?"

Sheila nods as he sits before her. "I have an ability to detect the truth - in words spoken. I have not tested myself with the written word, as I hath just begun to learn it - and nay, I did not have such abilities afore reaching this place."

"So what you need is more of a way to control your abilities so they're not going haywire then, is that right?" Tenma smiled.

"Because if so, the only techniques I know are the ones I was taught for my own powers, here, and they might be a little different for you."

"Aye, that is what I seek," she declares. "What doth thou do?"

"Ah, well. My powers are in my hands," He held his hands up for her to see, showing her the palm; the backs of his hands were still scared from the torture a few months ago.

"When I touch someone, if I'm not careful, I'll knock them out. So I learned how to concentrate to put the numbing feeling into my palms for example instead of in my fingertips."

Sheila eyes his hands curiously. "Oh my! Tis a powerful one ye've." She nods. "So to focus the powers, I should concentrate on one singular voice?"

"Unfortunately," He shrugged, but he nodded. "Yes. Try and concentrate on one voice, instead of relaxing and hearing all of them. Once you can focus on one voice, you can focus on not hearing it."

Sheila nods. "Tis wise advice. I am most fortunate, not to be subjected to the thoughts and inner deeds of all people; 'twould be maddening."

Tenma smiled. "I can imagine! It could be really bad."

"La, 'twould be a constant cacophony." She plays with the edge of the chair.
