Good, for a surprise was exactly what Break had wanted this to be. It wouldn't have been as much fun if it was planned, and the fact that he wouldn't have thought Sharon would agree had she been informed before hand, what with the way their relationship was as of late. As much as Break had stressed that he was a man, whom lived only for himself, the presence of Sharon was one, the truly couldn't live without feeling next to him. What would Miss Shelly think, if she could see them now? Other than banging their heads together, she was have been most displeased with their behaviour, this thought sobered Break some.. not that he'd ever voice this emotion with Sharon of course.

Maybe this was the meaning of Break's sacrifice? In order to arrive at the hotel for their meal, Break would have to relay on Sharon as his guide, as it was one of the few places he'd not yet been to. All the others were fully booked, or wouldn't allow Break back in for eating plates as well as other various mishaps the Clown had been caught in the thick of.

No, that was all wrong.. Break didn't avoid his Mistress, he kept out of her way, but always as close by as he could. He might not have been able to see her any more, and he might not have been in the same room as her all the time, but through their Chains, through the bond that they shared, Break always had a good feel for where Sharon was, it went both ways really.

"Helpful? Yes. Amusing? no..~ " he chuckled at the door. "Its a surprise Ojou-sama~ you're suppose to come willingly and enjoy yourself."

"Yes, but I can't exactly dress that fast when you don't give me any warning," Sharon said, a little exasperatedly, but she was finally dressed at the very least. Dressed carefully in one of her finest dresses - though there wasn't a particular reason for that, it just seemed like something to go to such a nice restaurant in - and sure that she was decent enough to go out in.

She stepped through from her room - one final check in the mirror - and crossed the space between herself and Break, smoothing her hands over her dress one last time. "But I am ready to leave now."

"I thought I sent Emily in to warn you? ...  Oya! Master Break! Don't blame me!.. tsk, honestly Emily~♪ can't you do anthing I ask of you?"

It sobered Break a little, knowing that he couldn't see the frills and tumbles of her dress, or the matching choker she would have no doubt been wearing, how her hair fell in perfect coils, down past her shoulders, just like her mothers had in summer years. Still, he smiled and nodded to her, knowing she would have made an effort for him. "You're positively radiant Ojou-sama " Linking his arm for her to take and pulling the door closed behind them.

"Flatterer," Sharon replied with a soft laugh - more carefree than she had been in Break's presence for a while. She stepped forwards and slid her arm through his, leaning against him a little. Always grateful for her caretaker's presence, even if she was too "old" to admit that these days.

Sometimes, she really did think being an adult was overrated, but those times were often overshadowed by the memory of Break's death, of how Gil had known and Break had kept it from her. She didn't want to be a burden for him. She definitely didn't want him to keep taking care of her like a child forever.

"Have you tried this restaurant before?"

""I know, Ojou-sama~ I can cook, clean and babysit~ now I can flatter too? aiyah~ I must be a jack of all trades." Chuckling, he was just joking, there was nothing but a sweet tone and a smile to match it, spread out over his pale face. Taking her arm in his, setting a hand on top of hers that had slipped through the link, patting it a few times before giving a little affectionate squeeze, they set off.

The sad thing was... if Sharon did grow up and truly no longer needed Break? it would have tipped him over the edge, broken his old and failing heart. He needed her love and harshness as much as he needed her for a guide, didn't she see that? he depended on her now, she was all grown up and responsible, Break just could never admit that out loud.

"I believe not young Lady." In other words; its one of the few that I've not been ban from.

Sharon didn't know that. She didn't know how important it was for him that she was still herself, that she still needed him. What she understood was that she was someone he always needed to protect, a burden - a hindrance rather than a help - in his search for the truth of a hundred years ago."

She laughed at his answer then as she followed the directions she'd been given, leading him along the streets and towards the restaurant. "You'd better be on your best behaviour tonight," she said with a shake of her head. "I won't have them banning me from any restaurants around here."

Such a thought would be expected, Break was hardly the most welcoming of men, often, when the time called for it, he would gladly remind those around him, that he lived only for himself , though that was just his front, a well executed attitude the Clown masked his emotions with, for the comfort and ease of a stress less life. Sharon was never a hindrance, she was the one thing break truly needed, she filled that void of the dear child he once spent every waking hour with, and the caring smile and hands of her mother he so dearly loved. Not to mention, she had her very own little personality that Break was drawn to, like a moth to the flame.

" Aiyah~ Ojou-samam~ you insult me to suggest I'd misbehave." She was right though and her warning was taken for what it was, Break didn't really fancy the whole restaurant watching as he was slapped senseless with that harisen of hers. It didn't take them all that long, to arrive at the hotel, the doorman coming to meet them, to take Sharon's coat and Break's cane, to which he refused, that cane was not only a walking aid, but a means of fast protection should they run into any trouble. Pulling Sharon's seat out for her and smiling, leaving the waiter to stand there and look lost as Break pretty much stole his job.

A gentleman, as always - that was Break. The Break she remembered, really, as opposed to one she didn't - as opposed to the man who seemed more determined to get himself killed than anything else. She'd missed this side of Break, missed spending time with the man she'd come to love more than any brother.

Sharon lowered herself gracefully into the seat and smiled up at him, gesturing for him to join her - smiling a little at the waiter too, for his trouble, though he didn't look entirely convinced that everything was as okay as Sharon was trying to reassure him that it was.

Break would be pleased to know of how Sharon thought of him still, their time together here had been under so much stress and pressure, it was amazing the little lady hadn't yet broke down and left him altogether, he was a handful and so very rude to be around at times. The fact Sharon was still at his side, still willing to come on such a date as this with him, was all the proof Break needed to see, to know that he was still needed by her... no matter how grown up and adult she acted.

Though Break couldn't see her smile, he could feel the warmth from it, he smiled in return and pressed a finger to the table as he walked around it to his own seat, keeping contact with it at all times so that he could find his seat without seeming to come across as visually impaired. Claiming his seat and picking up his menu, upside down might I add. " Hmm~ what to have, what to have~?" He hummed, making out as if to be reading the food list.

Sharon watched him for a few more moments, lips tugging up into something of a reluctant smile. It was difficult to stay angry with Break, to try to keep that aloof exterior when he was being like this - which was to say, being himself. She couldn't help but thaw a little at that.

She looked down at her own menu (the right way up) and tried to figure out what she wanted, before finally settling on something relatively simple. "I think I'll have the salmon."

So the Hatters charm thawed off the Ice Queens cold shell did it? Good! because really, it was about time after all. Break felt that he had suffered long enough, this hard and stuffy treatment Sharon had gave him. Sure, he'd made more than a few mistakes, but here he was, willing to try and make up for well.. everything.

After Sharon ordered her food, Break nodded and handed his upside down menu over to the waiter. " Chocolate cake for starters, followed by pancakes and ice cream and for pudding I'll just have the fruit and rum flapjack~" Oh yes, he was being serious alright.
