Summary: Maya's attempts to cheer Ahiru up involve forcing her to bake cookies while she's staying with Edgeworth. With fluff and sisterly advice on the side, d'awww

[She's a little hesitant about answering the door, especially when she's alone, but her reluctance eases away once she hears the voice on the other side of the door. They'd arranged things beforehand, and so she opens the door with a forced smile.]

Hi, Maya!

[acemedium]

[Ahiru's not any good at hiding it, but she won't pry yet.]

Hey, Ahiru!

[She can't exactly do her regular handclasp headbow with the bag being held, but she does bob her head]

You look pretty bored. And hungry.

[quackery]

O-Oh, I'm not bored, really! Or that hungry. So you don't gotta worry!

[acemedium]

Don't worry, you'll be hungry when we finish these awesome cookies!

[She limps past Ahiru to the kitchen, having been here before]

Are you ready, Ahiru?

[quackery]

[She takes note of the limp, and wonders whether or not to bring it up.]

Yeah, I'm ready! U-Um, are you alright, though?

[acemedium]

[And Maya's playing dumb!]

Yep! Ready and rockin' this cookie recipe.

...Or will be in a second. [She plops the bag down on the couter]

How are you?

[quackery]

I, um... [She pauses, both because she's still wary of the limp, and because she worries she won't be able to say she's fine without sounding totally unconvincing. Still, though-]

I'm pretty okay!

[acemedium]

[Oh, Ahiru. She won't question you yet, though.]

Only pretty okay? I guess we'll have to change that.

You like chocolate chips, right?

[quackery]

Yeah, I like chocolate chips! Do you?

[acemedium]

Good! And of course, who doesn't?

[She dumps all her groceries (egg replacer, milk, flour, sugar, chocolate chips, the works) on the counter]

Come over here, and let's get started!

[quackery]

Okay! You're gonna have to show me how. [She walks towards the counter.]

[acemedium]

Don't worry, I'll teach you all about it.

And then we can give them out to all our friends when we're done!

[Maya starts digging around for bowls and the like]

[quackery]

That sounds nice! [She just watches Maya get the bowls, still unaware of where most things in the apartment were.]

[acemedium]

[Maya's snooped enough to have an idea, so she gathers the stuff and then digs out the recipe, which has been not-so-neatly folded a few times]

Everyone's been really gloomy lately, so this is the perfect way to perk everyone up!

... That and give them a sugar rush, I guess.
