After almost half a year of SERO affiliation, Ikutsuki had finally taken the opportunity to do some more extended research within SERO’s facilities. Certainly, the chance had come up once or twice earlier, but they was no point jumping to grasp such openings when he wasn’t fully prepared for them yet. However, this experiment would be his very first one of his that would be conducted in the strange little trans-dimensional pocket known as Siren’s Port. And fortunately enough, it would be in one of his areas of interest and expertise; alternative sources of energy. Really, in a city such as the one they found themselves in now, the possibilities ought to be limitless; such a situation like the blackout should never have occurred.

He’d noticed the strange specimen on the network before; feline in appearance but despite that, oddly sentient; if he recalled correctly, his name was Danny. Ikutsuki had heard from some of his SERO colleagues that for some yet unexplored reason, Danny had been emitting an unexplained energy output. It was something that would have to be examined, and seeing as Ikutsuki had previous experience in this field of research ... well, it was time to start it all again. It was an enjoyable departure from the tedium of being a full-time guidance counsellor at least.

Danny was walking along down the streets of Sector 4, heading back home to the Felton Theatre. He had to get to the Underground Mall first of course. He turned down an alleyway, a nice little shortcut he liked to take. He was humming to himself a happy little tune when the voice rang out.

"Danny!" The cat turned around to come face-to-face with three men, each clad in black pants, shirts, vests, gloves, and gas masks. He started at the three of them for a moment before he tilted his head.

"Yes?" he asked, once of them had addressed him afterall. And then they charged. They ran at him full speed and the cat had no time to react before one slammed their shoulder into his chest. He fell back, his NV slipping out of this pocket and hitting the ground. It flipped open and began to record, but none noticed. The leader took out his white rag and pressed it over Danny's mouth. The feline struggled as best he could before the chloroform took affect. His eyes slowly closed and he was out. One of the others grabbed his feet and dragged him away from the NV while the third took his hands.

The kidnappers made their way back to their van and loaded up their target. They put him in restraints, just to be safe and all loaded into the van. The leader turned on the vehicle and took off, leaving a nasty tire mark on the side of the road. It wouldn't take them too long to deliver the cat to Ikutsuki, still unconscious and bound.

"Here you are, Mr. Ikutsuki. Once feline, bagged and tagged." One of them joked as the other two carried in the sleeping feline.

Ikutsuki approached the SERO workers with a carefully disguised look of disdain on his face; that disdain was reserved more for his colleagues than for the subject himself - some people simply had no sense of subtly; there was a time and place for theatrics, but this wasn’t quite it; no, it was best to save all of that for the last possible moment, when it was completely unexpected.

All the same, however, he thanked them with as much grace as he could muster, directing them over to the table where he wanted them to place the subject before dismissing them; he would need absolute silence - or as close to it as he could achieve. The cat was still unconscious as the men left; Ikutsuki kept an eye on him as he went to arrange the paperwork he would have to have signed. Seeing how Danny was still unconscious after that all, it was then that Ikutsuki made his approach, a pleasant smile set carefully on his face. He would wait a few more minutes to see if he would regain consciousness on his own - otherwise, it would have to be induced.

“It’s so silent here,” he spoke to no-one in particular, before turning his attentions to the unconscious Danny. “Not even a meow out of you.” He then begun to chuckle as though he had told a particularly amusing

A few more minutes was all Danny would need. The cat stirred, his hands twitching first and then his legs. His eyes slowly fluttered open and a look of confusion crossed his face. This wasn't where he had been. He looked around, eyes dull from just waking up.

He was trying to remember how he got here and then he remembered the men. His eyes snapped wide open and he sat up, looking around before his eyes fell on Ikutsuki.

"Um...sir? Where am I?" His voice was quiet and calm. He had no idea why he was here and hoped this man would help him.
