It hadn't been long since the gassing in City Hall, and Re-l had been there to receive Edgeworth when they had finally gotten him away from the Joker. She had been an utter mess of nerves since the initial capture and she had been working round the clock to stay close to the scene. If nothing else, she could at least find some way to keep him alive if anyone decided to put him in danger. She didn't even think the gassing was ethical, but that was her. SERO overruled the decision with a wave of a hand and she was left there to wait for them to bring the prosecutor back out.
They never did.
The officer immediately realized what must have happened and once the others were evacuated from the building, she started tracking where he must have taken Edgeworth. It had taken almost another hour before she finally caught a trace of Edgeworth's pulse, familiar to her now, and then she was off. She would call for back-up once she was sure the man wasn't in danger. And now she was making her way to an old building in the industrial sector, closing in on it fast.
