Leave the world alone in the sky, you and I go free

Who: Solid Snake, Liquid Snake
When: Friday, March 25th
Where: Sector 4, their home.
Summary: Liquid decides it's time to brief Snake on something that's looming over the horizon.
Warnings: Dark topics. Other than that, nothing yet.

The cup of tea resting beside him was as cold as ice. He'd been debating this ever since his talk with Sunny. Whatever he may have thought of Snake, the fact remained that he was likely in the dark - as he had been in the dark about so many other things. It would be easier to call him, but this was something that needed to be done in person. The problem was getting ahold of Snake. He somehow kept missing him, so in the end he simply made himself a cup of tea, sat down and waited. Time passed, the ticking of the clock on the wall growing steadily more annoying. The sound seemed to be driving into his head, counting out the seconds, the minutes, the hours.

He didn't move.

Annoyances could be ignored, just like pain and discomfort. No matter what he felt, he was not going to move until Snake came home - if he even did. The NV was turned off lying powerless on the table, his coat fastened up to the neck around him. There was a coolness to his posture, a rare stillness. He sat perfectly straight, the back of hand resting against the edge of the cold cup while the other rested on his leg. He waited. And eventually, just as he'd expected, the sound of the door opening could be heard and light spilled out into the hallway outside the open room.

"Brother. Come in here," he called. His voice was expressionless, a feat that took more work than it should have. This was not something so easily dealt with.
