This Week On Ruining Your Life

Mar 11, 2011 23:35

Who: caliginose and fireintwilight
When: Tonight, post-sirens.
Where: Just outside of Xehanort's house.
Summary: Axel, being brave and wily and foolish, has gone to rescue his best friend. Master Xehanort, being a compromising soul, offers an alternative to something other than utter annihilation.
Warnings: Evilness.

He waited for Axel on the front steps of his home. The shields around the building had been dropped for the time being, but no monsters skulked across the lawn nor clawed at the doors and windows.

Vanitas was, if nothing else, an excellent pest keeper. And it did keep the boy occupied and happy, in his way.

Xehanort had thought of sending him against the Nobody he was to meet late in the evening, but had thought better of it. This meeting was a little peculiar in that Axel had to already know that coming to his house, to his domain, would be as fruitless as it would be fatal. Even preliminary tests on the boy, as well as their initial skirmish, had proven beyond a doubt that his power, while substantial and of Mastery level at least in amount, was ultimately untrained. A storm would remain a storm, strong but undirected, and a skilled hand could turn it and break it. Such as it would be with the boy and such as it would be, he suspected, with most of the other young Keyblade holders.

But Axel was...different. Smart and foolish at once.

He would speak with him and see what he had to say, with no masks or hidden cards to protect him.

master xehanort, †: axel
